I’m liking the similarities of Cannon to Broadhead. Different players I know but both Everton youth.

Broadhead joined mid season and fired us to promotion.

Cannon to do the same?
But what if we sign him and he doesn’t score? If he’s in the players union then we’ll struggle to fire him.

we don't have a Ross stewart here now that is a fact, Isidor 'might' get 15 goals other players might. Burnley sign a proven striker back from Norwich and Sheff U could sign Brereton, of course had we kept Clarke we would be top now, is this striker issue always going to be brought up ? and defending better would help.

I must admit with all the minutes under his belt and goals scored since he left I'm gutted about that! <doh> Or has is he fully recovered and scoring goals in Monty world? Wouldn't swap him for Isidor or Mayenda these days! P.S Isidor isn't ours to swap but is he was.

And aye the striker thing is going to get brought up every week we don't win by this poster called @monty987. Not sure ifnyou have heard of him? Loves a good moan he does and babbles incoherent stuff about strikers that we should be signing even when they are either a. Unrealistic or b. In worse form than what we have amd probably not got the same potential!

he’s starting for Ipswich at the moment

Ah ****e. Never mind.

If Mundle is actually going to be nursed back to fitness this season, I honestly would go back for Clarke on loan. Only a loan though, no obligation. Mundle/Watson are still my first choice pairing going forward, but if Clarke was available, we'd be stupid not to try.

I used to be against it but the more news about Mundle that comes out, the more I think this would be a great idea

The one reason I'm unsure if its Cannon is that it would make no sense for him to not have already been recalled by Leicester. If the recall last night was linked, then why not at the same time? It doesn't benefit anyone that Cannon is training with Stoke today unless there's still a chance he's staying.
They won’t want to recall him unless they’ve agreed a deal elsewhere which makes it likely they are looking for a permanent deal or not interested in selling. He’s playing regularly so as loans go it’s perfect if they intend to keep him and assess in the summer.

Yeh I'd be very happy with him. Proven to score in this division is a big tick and having good movement is going to be an imperative if we get promoted, so no reason to think he can't be a decent option off the bench in the premier league.

Loan with obligation, our favourite three words, could be a go'er.

All that said. I'm not sure why Leicester wouldn't want to keep him on their books for a potential championship campaign next season. Same with Southampton and BBD.
Are Leicester in the **** again re finances?

Might not have anyone lined up to replace Connolly, they might think Ogunsuyi in ready to start featuring more?

He is 18 now...time to start seeing what he's capable of.
Surely if that was the case, he would of played a bigger role on Saturday

I wonder if Louie Barry could be our versatile signing. Since he can play LW and CF
Celtic are in for him now. Could see the appeal there with European football and half decent chance of going through

I wonder how much the bid was. Would take serious cash to get him out of Villa, especially in January
