I’m very surprised no one has moved for marcelino nunez from Norwich. Big fan of his me
Appartently someone has but can't for the life of me remember who

I think they've turned down a bid for him, I agree a cracking player

The championship really does have some quality players these days

If he comes in, it would be up to him to break into the team rather than someone dropping out the team to accommodate him

He was class the season under RLB, was the heart beat of the team and everything went through him. I do always worry about smaller CMs playing in the championship too but he does move the ball quickly and he covers the ground well so that helps

If RLB wants him, it tells me that RLB knows he can adapt to English football and there's no doubt that he will improve the squad
Any idea on what has gone wrong at Roma? Also last season looks a bit in and out?

I would have a little concern if this was Regis pick alone. Wonder how much scouting we could have realistically done on him. Not saying Regis doesnt have a say, all HCs should, but this would look (from the outside) as a coach leading the process.

For a short term loan to the end of the season I’ve got no issue with it being a HC pick alone. RLB didn’t only work with him the one season at Lorient, he brought him through the academy from a very young age so will know him inside out.

We’ve got 3 quality young, homegrown/developed midfield options we own but have been saying for weeks they’ve been ran into the ground and how we need someone off the bench. This feels like a winner of an option to me for the here and now

I am not looking to be anti it, although I wonder whether he can really hit the ground running for a promotion chasing side. I just dont see the overall fit. My suspicion would be if Roma allow him to come to a second division side, they want him playing. Either for a shop window, or to get his overall game improved so he is good enough for them. They would want assurances surely.

I imagine he will come in and take somebody's place, or maybe RLB wants this so he can easily rotate from game to game to keep it fresh so then everybody is getting minutes

Apparently RLB brought Le Fee through at Lorient in the youth setup before he was head coach and then made him his main man once he was head coach, so he will know le fee inside and out.

I get the concern, while he is likely to lack match sharpness he will know what RLB wants technically - and that can be the part that takes longer to pick up

I dont think it'll happen but I'm def intrigued by it just because of his technical ability and that he's proven he can play in RLBs system

I have reached out to a couple scouts I know in France to see what they think of him

This has come out around a similar timing of that lad commenting on the Sunderland fan's post about fati

I'm all for any type of rumour me haha

Been doing a bit if research myself.

He didnt settle well at Rennes initially and didnt seem to get on with the coach. A new coach came in and he felt happier. He got injured though and missed a bunch of games. The move to Roma seems to have been one he was apprehensive about, but settled ok only to get injured when he came on as a sub. Not really been able to make his mark at Roma since. Ranieri in there now so who knows if he rates him or not. I was surprised at how many times at Rennes he was subbed off. Maybe that is explained by the above.

He looks quite a slight player to me. He would need to have that fight in him that someone like Rigg has to cope in this league.

I know Regis has said he wants another midfielder. We currently have Neil, Jobe, Rigg racking up the minutes. Aleksic starting to see some game time and showing he has something. Samed is supposedly back in the mix. That is 5 for 3 spots. If Browne is back it will be 6 for 3. An extra body is 7 for 3 places. Rotating them all is going to be a big challenge. I suspect if this lad comes in, we may see one away in January.
