Yeah mate, but it isnt completely unknown. This one isnt my pick at all. I think Watson will be a rare talent. However we already have Mundle in the squad. It is pure bottom line profit and gives a lot of headroom now. Watson isnt going to a Chelsea or Man City where he will disappear. Like you say an add on, and we are protected. Hate the idea of him not showing his talent flourish here, but I trust the club ultimately. I could whine a lot about this, but I am going to keep it under wraps. Will love watching him from afar.

It certainly would. Not sure I like the scenario where he doesn’t help us get up, we stunt Mundle’s progress and basically just prep JC for a championship run for Ipswich in 25/26 mind.

I think only hindsight can be this certain it was a bad move. I personally don’t hold a grudge for Harte getting Clarke the premier league move he wanted. It didn’t work. He can come home.

Watson may have only played a handful of games. But he looos every bit a extra special talent. The deal may be good for all parties, we get some more financial headroom for a big push. Brighton get a player they can bed in for next season. Watson gets to go to a club proven to create elite premier league talent.

I'm being totally selfish in thinking I would have liked to see him develop and flourish with us for a season and although I have no doubt he has been scouted and Brighton think he is going to be a top player on the near future, I just think it's too early and he could afford to play here another season at least!
