Give your head a wabble man! We can't sign everyone and just to clear it up the club can't be all talk when they have said **** all about signing Cannon or anyone else! Club never says anything until.the signing is done!

I'm happy to leave the numbers to those who have to find the money.

But your point about Sheff Utd might be sound, it seems not quite stable there. They have some players who will be on a lot of cash, relegation clauses or not, and more money spent on Cannon plus his wages could mean they really do need to go up.

Mind, the same could be said of Leeds if the stones were lifted and we could see what was underneath them. And maybe Burnley. The game tonight is a game they dare not lose.

We got 1.5m for Maja in similar circumstances ages ago. Granted he was younger but we were in a worse position to negotiate than Preston are. It’s only worth letting him leave if the can replace him with money. I think 2-3m probably is the ball park.

Do you think once we’ve signed a striker that we will look at the back? Get that strengthened? Or once a striker is in that’s it.

Think RLB said that we've got enough at the back but if one more gets injured, we'll have to bring someone else in.

Personally don't agree that we have enough at the back, and I'd like at least one more fullback.

RB: Hume/O'Nien
CB: O'Nien/Hjelde
CB: Mepham/Ballard
LB: Cirkin/Hjelde

At least a couple of those are pretty injury prone (Cirkin and Ballard).
