Really don't get why people keep putting this on Speakman.

He's signed us strikers. It's not his fault that Mowbray, Dodds, and Beale have set up every team to not feed our strikers with the service we need.

What we have will score goals if they are given service. It's not like they're missing chances, they just aren't getting them...that's not Speakman's fault.

We've got 4 strikers at the club. We could sign Moore tonight, but if we don't change the system, he'll not score either.

It's the system that needs changing, not another striker.

Yeah I think we get Styles but no striker. I think we can get more out of our existing strikers second half of the season so it’s less catastrophic but being honest we have gone from riches to poverty and it’s yet again a recruitment weakness. You can pick up players for bargains but it’s rare you get a cheap goal scorer and I think if they get **** about this it’s understandable. Yes it’s a tough thing to get over the line currently, no we can’t throw money down the toilet but if was Beale and the pressure he’s under I would be pretty livid.

I can’t think of a realistic striker that’s moved in this window though, feel free to prove me wrong aswell haha, it’s got to be so hard, selling clubs won’t give goalscorers up easier especially mid season and they have to want to come here too, I don’t envy those trying to get deals over the line

Remember a story about that and his reasons for it. They were apparently quite appropriate (no idea what as I never read it). He had a lovely left foot. But he hardly ever used it!!

Have a look at our squad of eighteen months ago and you may want to reconsider that statement. In short, it’s ridiculous

It must be a nightmare I agree. I’d say the Wimbledon lad would have been a good option for us. Ipswich got two viable options but there could be good reason beyond money of course- geography, promotion potential etc.

On the striker front only I meant. Stewart was a top player, injured aye I know. These lot this season will get nowhere near that level.
