Pleased the left back is a perm. I assumed we would look to a new lb in the summer, so if we can do it now all the better. Understand the argument he will be a CB in time, but for now he can bring some balance to the left side. Good start to the week by the club.

I could see a scenario where our centre back pairing in a couple of years is Seelt at RCB and Alese or Hjelde at LCB. All of them been playing predominantly at full back to get experience.

Yep.If we had a back 4 of Pembele,Seelt,Ballard,Hjelde,with O9,Hume,Cirkin, Alese,and a fit Huggins in the squad pushing....all young,all ready to go.

Looks a good acquisition. I'll wait til he's at the AoL before considering the deal done though.

If we'd got everyone we'd agreed a fee for over the last few years.......remember Reidy describing a bloke as RoboCop after the failed medical <laugh>

I don’t know if I feel we look better because I’m not a fan of Hume coming inside and O’nien being the RCB which Ba helps out with defensively whereas Roberts isn’t that player.

I have to admit I was not seeing what others were seeing in him earlier in his career with us, but he has shown me exactly what he can do in recent games. Roberts has a fight on his hands to regain a starting role with Ba in such good form.

For me, Ba is 100% a winger. He is much more effective out wide than he is in the 9/10 role.

Yep,can see what the recruitment team saw. He's a live wire,mobile,can play with either foot. Like him.
