Collins still seems to think Styles is coming
Interestingly he said that just because you don’t see an outcome it doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot of work going on behind the scenes and it’s better if there isn’t a loud noise in the run up to a transfer. What has been the response to Beale saying that ?

Dinner time announcement with a hungry pun?
It's a strange one, Nick Barnes saying it's unlikely and after him talking to KS you would assume he has some info and Barnsley's manager saying it's going OK.

Safe to say I don't think Styles will be at Barnsley at the end of the window

Why have you mentioned Beale? I've posted some news on a proposed transfer from the players Manager purely for information.

****s sake

I agree about the personal insults. They need to stop. But the narrow defeat as you put it was against a poor Hull side who in their own words put in their worst performance in a year and we didn’t lay a glove on them We could still be playing now and not scored. Surely you cannot be happy we have gone from exiting attacking free flowing football to boring negative toothless lets not lose football?
No one is happy that the football isn't as good to watch anymore but people have to put a little bit of thought into why that might be. It had started going that way under Mowbray, hence the 'he's run out of ideas' comments. But if it's continued under Beale, that surely suggests that its an issue with the players, not the coaches. Beale said in his press conference that he wanted the players moving the ball into the final third quicker. He's not going to say that in a press conference and then go into training and say "right lads, I want you to play as slow as possible and never try to attack". There's clearly an issue, and the fact that they can't find a first choice centre forward highlights it, within the squad.

I'll refer back to Andy Farrell's comments in the Six Nations documentary, which is also something I've heard from several non-league managers. If players are playing well they make a coach look good, if they're not, the coach looks bad. They are reliant on the players. If the players don't or can't do what they're asked on the pitch, the manager/coach is the one that looks bad. There is only so much he can do.

Beale is clearly trying different things to get things to click. He needs patience from the fans.

Hmm. Not sure I buy this blame shifting line like. He's said he and the staff are working as hard they can. What more do people want him to say?
He could maybe not throw a 21yo kid under the bus for conceding a free kick
He could maybe not try and suggest negative chants about him meant we lost to Hull
He could maybe not refer to the fanbase - who have been here for generations before him and will absolutely be here for generations after him - as "outside noise"

I get it, things can be spun and interpreted differently, but he's under pressure, the fans don't want him and results have been poor - he should be on the charm offensive, rather than looking for excuses.

Like you say, things can be interpreted differently. Apart from the maybe unnecessary criticism of Aouchiche over the free kick, I didn't see either of those two comments as criticism of the fans. It's a fact that negative chanting won't help the team and its fact that there is a lot of noise, from outside of the club, about him. People with an already negative opinion of him are looking for things to find fault with in what he says. Anyone genuinely upset by those things must be extremely thin-skinned.

I think he’s implying that if you turn on your clubs manager before they kick a ball and orchestrate a hate campaign which involves personal abuse, you aren’t likely to get the best out of him and his young players or make players/coaches want to be anywhere near it which is a problem when we’re trying to recruit some in a competitive market. ‘Let’s join a coach who the fans may chase out and may not be here in a fortnight and risk being turned on by them myself’

I suspect anyone who wants us to lose just to see Beale sacked would be one of the people the poster was aiming his comment at (which isnt me by the way)

But him wanting us to tumble down the league is just as bad

TBH I hope he turns it around completely starting on Saturday

Not sure what me means but if players avoid joining us, players lose effectiveness because of tension, manager loses focus because of the abuse because fans have become toxic then it’s their dfaukt just as much as anyone else. We all know we can be a a supportive force like no other. Why don’t we try to be that again?
