I’m not majorly fussed if we don’t get Styles. Positionally too similar to Neil, Ekwah and Jobe and not an imposing or specialist CDM. Even the 6’7” French lad seems to be an 8/6/10. Have we got something against signing midfielders who are best at tackling, intercepting and taking the ball off the defence? For the record, I thought Teemu Tainio was a great CDM for us. Brilliant awareness on the ball.

Apparently Nick Barnes has said on total sport Styles isn't coming?

I don't listen to it, so only have that second hand

Agreed we need a defensive experienced CM to replace Evans and a specialist LB, probably on loan, Styles never sounded like the answer to me.

25 days have been and gone. Not a single signing when we’re desperate for some quality and experience in at least a couple of positions. Club are really going for it this year aren’t they? Cracking January so far…
