People would probably prefer that he was curled up in a corner of his office sobbing but he's not. He's trying to prepare the team for Saturday.
He can't win no matter what he says. It's pretty inevitable that he's finished here though.
Its about tone and language. He could quite easily act human and say its surprised him and he hopes to win the fans around. Rather than dismiss their views.
I also think the outrage has been more than it deserves to be. But his words today have made that worse.
People have been calling him all sorts of things. Comparing him, inexplicably, to Hitler. I think he's conducted himself with incredible restraint.
I'll need to listen to the whole presser as I've only seen a highlighted para which everyone is crying about. Didn't seem that bad to me and he's right about the outside noise being ridiculous.
