To be fair to capology they clearly state they produce estimates only. They also only cover basic salaries and not any bonus payments. Articles using that as their source, and capology is largely felt to be the most relevant source, should be clear on the fact it is estimated.

My own view is that the data wont be accurate, but that it wont be accurate for any club. In that sense it is reasonable to take the idea that we are in the bottom group of wage payers as close to the mark. At least at a point in time. I suspect that is helped by Baath going last season as my guess was he would have been a top earner for us.
