He would have been still at school when he posted that.
Don’t know nowt about him or what age he was but if he has a hatred for my club even from a young age it won’t leave him. I’ve let my feelings about the scum known when I was at school and it hasn’t left me

Personally I’d drop one of the one of the midfielders for either of them at the drop of an hat and have a proper 10 on the pitch. That’s one problem solved. Signing a striker isn’t going to magically make us a better team we still have a midfield that’s very samey with no specialised 10 or 6.
Agree about signing a striker to be fair.

No I want to be angry nothing else is happening! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

We can only go off whatever’s doing the rounds and whilst Nixon talks out of his arse at times he does get other stuff right. 2 weeks into the window and we heard KS on numerous occasions say they’d love Diallo back yet where’s the urgency? He was confirmed as not going to AFCON at the start of the window.

The only saving grace I’m taking from this is that we paid his wage last season so why wouldn’t we this.
Not sure united have been in a rush to let him go, still wouldn't surprise me if he stayed there as Pellestri is about to leave so very thin on wingers

He was signed from the Irish league as an 18 year old. You think he was on £10k a week?
Could be £500, could be £10k. Nobody knows. To suggest we don't offer good wages based upon a website that I know for a fact is nowhere near accurate is absurd.

The more I read this thread the more I think I know **** all about football, please agree, I dont care, Number 8s, 6s, 10s and false 9s, WTAF?

I know we need to change the way we play, play with some ****ing urgency, not just get it to Clarke and hope he does it, we need more attacking through the middle, from midfield and up top. WE also need the wide players to pass the ****ing ball to them, when I said them I am not sure who that is in the current squad or if we will sign anyone to play in that role.

Think I am going to have some rum

Was just the talk at the time everyone was in disbelief at how little he was on so it must’ve came from somewhere. If I sign you on a 4 year contract for £8k a week then you have a good season and I say I’ll give another £2k a week if you sign an extra year with a few bonuses then why would you say no? If someone wants you they’ll pay for you regardless of whether you’ve 3 or 4 years left.

Countless analysts had published the championship wage stuff at the start of the season and we were down in the bottom 5-7 teams. Their data might be a little bit off but it’s not going to hugely incorrect it’s not some dweeb sitting in his basement pulling numbers from his arse

Only if it’s a position that we’ve prioritised m8. Is he better than Ba, of course he is, but put it this way, if we’ve only got a certain budget and it’s a choice between a proper no9, and amad, who’s been injured all season btw, I’d pick the striker. And of course we don’t know how much we’ve got, only the club know that, and how many loans can we have?
That's a great point mate, what would people want, if it is a choice of bringing Diallo back or an experienced forward and CDM.
It has been one of the main arguments that if we fill those 2 positions then we could kick on. Do people want to sacrifice one of those positions to bring Diallo back

Why not all 3? In the summer we brought in about 8 or 9 I think but we sold 7 and the money from Stewart basically covered what we spent. Gooch and Bathh would’ve been big earners so getting them off the books would’ve balanced the wages too imo whilst Diallo and Michut loans ended.

I could be way off and I’ll hold my hands up if I am but I can’t see us spending any more than we were last season so if anything the money should be there to offer a decent chunk of wages for loanees surely?

You say you dont want to upset the 'club can do no wrong brigade' but all that has happened is a journalist has said that boro are favorites to sign him- nothing has been confirmed in relation to amad. So why would anyone slag the club on something that is currently a rumour

As you said lets wait and see what happens rather than folk just believing everything they read online
You'd think people would have learned from last window when the podcast boys and social media fans were going mental cos we were selling Neil, Roberts and Clarke...

Definitely not on £10k a week, but not a chance he was on £25k a year. See what I’m saying m8, none of us know unless we’re club employees, with access to HR records, so quoting any number is merely inflammatory to someone who holds an opposing view.

Why don't they just make the window a week rather than a month so everyone gets on with their business rather than all this nonsense

A bit off topic but I see young Archie Gray has signed a long term contract at Leeds. He is the best young player I have seen this season. He is only 17, but boy is he good. They have some very good young talent there to go along with him too.
