There have already been some Polish jokes on here and nothing was said, I can change it to Ireland if you like? Oh and someone just made a bad comment about people from Sutton, and my stable boy is from Sutton and hes a very nice boy!!
Blades of glory Have to make an admission re the ice dancing ... used to loathe it but after a night out in Andorra I found myself up earlier than my friends and went for a walk. Went into the ice ring for breakfast and was blown away after watching some local club practicing. Have to say the hard work that must go in is very impressive and very changed my view of this sport Don’t get me wrong Torvill & Dean were naff back then and look even worse today . I do not like the showmanship of it but to watch couples in tracksuits on the ice I very much liked.
Nice to see that Christie woman banned She seemed to foul in most of her heats Eye lashes also very poor Let the team down imo
Just when I thought I was getting a grasp of curling, I've since found out that a Russian curler Alexander Krushelnitsky gets tested positive for doping. How do performance enhancing drugs work here? Maybe they'll just 'brush it' under the carpet. It was in the mixed doubles alongside his wife Anastasia Bryzgalova. It's obviously given him an advantage with his supercharged brushing, there's always a job for him with the Westminster Clean Team...
Maybe it was some form of acid that gave him an out-of-body experience so he could look down at the stones from above and work out where to shove/brush them to
I really like watching the biathlon (don't why - think it's a product of seeing it a few times years ago on Eurosport on hungover Sundays). It's a shame the Beeb decided not to bother with today's relay at all. In general the coverage has been pretty poor. Considering most people will be watching on catch up, they make finding specific events impossible (even if they are listed against a program it doesn't mean they the there). Enjoyed the ski cross and found the curling increasingly watchable but have blinked and missed nearly all the downhill and slalom).
Another medal today for team GB.... Winter Olympics: Billy Morgan wins Great Britain's record fifth medal in Pyeongchang - BBC Sport http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/winter-olympics/42981477 These snowboarders are unbelievable
38 medals, a record total for any country ever, for Norway. Of course they have a bit of a leg up with having the right conditions to practice in, but that is an incredible achievement for such a small country - 5.25 million people. Respect! Highly skilled stuff, but how they tell which one is best in this sport unless people fall over is a little opaque for the layman.
