So first January addition to the squad...29yr old winger Ronan Curtis signs a two and a half year contract.....and links up again with Lorent Tolaj.

It is understood that Bali Mumba (24 yrs old) is due a medical at Huddersfield......a price of roughly £1 million has been agreed for him.

Surprising that it is about 2 years since he scored a goal (for us).....he has been classed has a full back....which I find difficult to understand.....he does seem to have the ability to me more dangerous of scoring in our penalty area in recent years.....maybe the time is right for him to move on.

No definitely not a full back in any way, shape or form. Wing back maybe but ideally, an out-an-out attacker.

He’s 23 so has years ahead of him.

I’ll be sorry to see him go but I have to say he hasn’t been tearing up trees this season. I presume the club think they can better use £1m.

Agree on Bali. At his best, which was our promotion season from league one, he was brilliant. Not been the same since sadly and if we were to get the best deal out of him he really had to go now. I wish him well though and it does release cash for other things given his contract would have had him on Championship wages.

Pasoti rumours where true then.........two good years from him early on.....but productivity in latter times disappointing....and goals none existing in latter times as well........if we got anywhere near what he cost us we have done well.....but a defender or wing back is surely not his best position.....a home goal always looming when he was in our penalty area........thanks Bali for the good times.

Thinking about we're perhaps being a bit hard on our mate Bali.

If you remember that wonder goal he scored against --- was it Ipswich or Norwich ---- he was playing on the left and cut-in on his right foot. We'd have been playing with just one striker then - Ryan Hardie - and so the wide attackers had the space to come inside and it was a routine tactic.

Lately, we've been playing with two upfront and so the wide men are staying wide and so he's been playing on the right. That doesn't suit him... it's too easy to just shepherd him down to the dead ball line.

Not an great start for Bali Mumba at Huddersfield.

He was in the starting 11 but there the good news ends.

They lost 3-1 away at Burton Albion (who we beat 3-0 at Home Park recently). He was subbed off after 65 minutes (fair enough I suppose) but then their manager was sacked after the game.

Oh dear, oh dear.

Not good for Bali Mumba....when the man who brings him in is sacked just one game into his new start.

That's a lot of money.

He is a very good player and we certainly wouldn't want to lose him mid-season. It's not just the goals: he works hard and is always on the move. But has he done enough to have gone from £1m to £5m in a few months..... I don't think so. In fact could any player make that jump in that time? I don't think so.

All about supply and demand.....just needs two clubs to want him in the summer.....say Celtic and Rangers....?.......or two Championship sides ...?

£5 million would be peanuts.....if he can score for Argyle and be top of the Div One list ....and with the poor support that Argyle give him.....just imagine how he could do with the right support.

Just one other thing on Tolaj in addition to scoring goals and working hard, unlike many strikers he seems to be a team player rather that a selfish loner.

If you watch the Peterborough goal, he doesn’t take a slim chance himself but plays Pepple for an easier opportunity. Before the ball’s even left Pepple’s foot, he’s waving his arms in celebration. Unusually for a striker, he’s genuinely happy to see someone else score.
