I will give Liverpool the credit they deserve if they win it, just as I would with City. You can't luckily win a league title and to be fair to them they play some very exciting stuff. Very much doubt we'll get many congrats if we win it, however.
Your mind games are as bad as Brenda's. A draw will likely give it to City as well so as long as you don't win it I'd settle for that
Not based on current form, positions and fixtures. Bookies are rarely wrong and we are currently 3rd favourites. Our 2 C.L games and having to currently win at your place (the game in between these fixtures) being the main reasons. Can see the Anfield game being a draw, a result which may harm both of us.
I think Jose will have the experience in the Anfield game to either win or draw, and you're less likely to **** up afterwards. We lose to you we might not win again this season. Chelsea can win their last 4. Jedi mind tricks aside you have as much a chance as we do. Your 'form' hasn't been great all year but yet you're still 2nd by a point. Clearly the Chelsea side is strong enough even without form. Our great white hope is that you come to Anfield with the CL in mind and we thump you.
Anfield game will be absolutely riveting assuming all sides win this weekend. Because of City, it'll be the first time in a while that in a title 'decider' a draw doesn't suit either team. Both will consider they have to win. I expect Liverpool to go at us for the first 20-25 minutes. If we are still level at that stage we have a great chance.
Jose may rest some of his attackers for Anfield three days ahead of Athletico. Liverpool are easy to break down but Athletico are impossible! Save hazard for second leg?
How is Hazard's injury? Was he just being rested for Swansea? It'll depend largely who you play and if they can stop us exploiting the space in behind your back four. I'd fancy Azpi to deal reasonably with Sturridge because he tries to come inside, and Azpi is right footed. Mourinho will have Luiz and Matic watching what Coutinho and Sterling did to City's midfield. They won't get it that easy again. We have to force you to play on our terms - to come out and play so we can get in behind - Azpi aside there's not much pace in your defence.
It is odd how Liverpool have such terrible 2nd half performances. Like you say, keep it really tight first half and then 2nd half go get 'em
Not worried at all at full back. Ivan and Azpi are fantastic defenders. Cahill is no slouch but obviously you have some very fast attackers so there will be space for you to manipulate; though we wont be playing a high line to be exploited so it'll be whether you can get in the gaps between midfield and defence as we'll keep it tight with Matic and either Luiz or Ramires.
I'd take going in 0-0 at half time right now. Liverpool will be pumped up and have the crowd behind them but they wont keep it up all game. Need them to get nervous and pick them off or wait for mistakes. No chance doing that if we are 2, 3 goals down at half time as we don't have the fire power to turn that kind of deficit around.
Agreed. I expect the same v us to some extent. Can be the disadvantage of being pushed on by the crowd.
Liverpool are a first half team - Chelsea are a second half team. It will be a very interesting match up. I actually reckon we will win our last 4 games. I just can't imagine losing at Anfield. My big worry is City not dropping points, which could be far more likely than people are expecting. After talking with my Liverpool buddy, he says his biggest fear is dropping points outside our game. Whatever happens, no matter what the media say, whoever wins deserves it.
People starting to write City off but can't see anything other than maximum points from their 4 home games. Palace and Everton away will be tricky but if City play into some form in the next couple of games, they can win these. Winning 6 games on the spin in the P.L is a hard ask though when others are fighting relegation of C.L spots and City have Yay out for the next couple of weeks and others not fully fit. I don't think City will win all 6 but can see maybe 5 wins and a draw which may still be enough for them.
Whether we win or draw at Anfield it is likely to come down to the Everton v City game to decide the fate of the title.
It's going to be a tough game and I agree with what has been said about the two halves, yes Mourinho attacked City but I don't think he will with us as we like to counter attack. So Chelsea will want to keep it 0-0 at half time and frustrate us this is going to be tight everyone could see the City game being high scoring this one will be 1-0 and that could go either way.
