Well technically he's from South Africa but if we're treating Robson and Watson as our own then I guess he deserves the same treatment (I did cheer for him when he beat O'Mara a few days back).

I've never understood this compulsion to like people just cos they're from the same country / collection of countries as you. I don't like any British tennis players or Formula 1 drivers. They're all ****s.

I'm not one for tennis if I'm honest, and I really don't get the whole British thing when Scots are playing, but I enjoyed watching the men's semi's yesterday, Murray kept his semi going for quite a while, and when he looked like losing his semi, seemed to just perk up and polish it off quickly.

He went to Bev Grammar as well I believe, and then moved to Pock Grammar. I also got Simon Clarke to start referring to him as from being from Tickton, not Beverley. As it was starting to piss me off as a proud Ticktonian. And yes he was born in SA, but to British parents and can anyone here remember much about being 0-3 years old?

Tickton Primary was my first school in 1963, my family lived in Routh at the time, my dad still lived there up until a few years ago when he sadly passed away

I enjoy watching Andy Murray simply because he is a remarkably good tennis player.

I hope he wins this afternoon, it would be a brilliant spectacle, but I think Novak may be the only player in the world too good for him just now.

Boris Becker speaks in an even more dramatic and robotic tone than Arnie in Terminator.

Murray looking like the better man so far. Leading 6-5 in the second set after being 4-1 down.

    Come on Andy

Murray has won the second set 7-5, he's the better man by far.

Murray has been fantastic. Djorkovic hasn't been quite at it. As long as Murray keeps the rallies short I think he'll win.

British people still wanting Djokovic to win really are strange individuals. On the verge of British sporting history.
