No they're worse. As they are all one track ponies. They struggle to adapt their game to faster surfaces. I liked players who could mix it up and do both.
This is a good point, Murray's second serve is the only thing you would say he really could improve on by a sizeable amount, everything else in his game is near on as good as he could get it.
Yes in my opinion Murray's serve has to be top notch for him to beat Djokivic, when he doesn't serve well he doesn't play well and Djok will take full advantage. Anyways we are all assuming this is gonna be the final, matches to play first eh? BTW anyone else noticed the final might be the Jock v the Djok???
If Murray serves like he did against Youzhny, he won't have a prayer against Djokovic. Murray serves much better outdoors than indoors, the weather will play a big part.
Oh dear Mrs LaLa.......is that one of Beau's jokes........that second serve of Andys has tailed off a bit......more like the womens game. Djokovic will beat anyone on present form.....he seems to have rubber ankles the way he slides about.
Man, that was nerve wracking! That was like watching Murray from 3-4 years ago. He's got to stop being so bloody submissive and take the game to his opponent. IF he makes it to the final and plays like that Djokovic will hammer him.
Nervous about today. Kinda hoping the big Pole loses his nerve a bit and his serving goes awry. If he's on top of his game I have a horrible feeling he'll knock Murray out.
Two great matches and two deserving winners. Thought Djokovic and Murray showed once again why their the 2 best players in the world at the moment. Promises to be an epic 5 set final, hopefully with Murray winning!
I was hoping Lisicki would win today, I felt she deserved it more because she had the toughest draw en route, beating S Williams and also other good players, however you could tell by Bartoli's body language that she was in no mood to lose a second Wimbledon final. A definite crowd favourite, due in part to her ever present smile (missing today though) Lisicki's nerves got to her and by the time she had settled Bartoli already had one hand on the trophy but I think Lisicki's day as a Wimbledon champion will come. Bartoli is the most unlikely champion, she doesn't look like an athlete and her serve is unorthodox to put it politely, however won it she did and decisively!
Really happy for Bartoli, she's always been one of my favourite players for he sheer uniqueness! Lisicki's time will come!
Play the game not the occasion, Lisicki did the opposite. It was also the first time she wasn't the underdog.
Well done Andy! What a performance. Pity that piece of **** that is ruining our country, just waltzes in to a front row seat though. Hope Murray blanks him.
