Wilshere out for 3 months...

Apparently he's out for 3 months. There's still plenty of time for him to get over his injuries and meet his potential but its a real kick in the teeth for both us and him as he was just starting to show some form...
Looks like the Arsenal curse is hitting (well everyone except Giroud). Wilshere has had successful surgery and is now expected to be out until Feb 2015!
So as far as I can see this is how we stand -
Wilshere - 3 months out
Arteta - being resuscitated as we speak
Ozil - another 6 weeks out
Debuchy - same
Diaby - MIA
Sanogo - more like San-Can't Go
Walcott - His season has finished, he's now on holiday awaiting pre-season/England to crock him.
Welbeck - beginning to pick up the Arsenal disease, apparently only out for 1 game but who knows...
Ospina - Hoping to play more than one game for us, but not confident.
And special mention to our ex-player Vermaelen who appears to have lost the ability to ever leave a physio room.
But at least Kos is close to a return!

Till he gets injured in his first training session back and is back on the treatment table for another 4-6 weeks. You heard it here first
Wilshere made 33 appearances in the 2012-2013 season, and 35 appearances last year, and has had 15 appearances so far this season basically making him a feature in most games this season. So he's not as injury prone as people are making him out to be, he did miss one entire season 2011-2012 through injury, but as the stats show he has made well over 80 appearances since then and was a constant figure in the previous 2.
We've been missing Walcott all season so his injury makes no difference, it's getting on with it as usual. In terms of other injuries, most are on the way back, Ozil-Debuchy are back soon, just over a month, and we have Kos back.
Arteta we will have to wait and see but it's likely going to be a month out, I haven't heard of calf injuries keeping someone out for 2-3 months unless it require surgery or something like that.
Wilshere is out for 3 months, but just like Ozil, he is injured in a position we are stacked in, we have enough creative midfielders to get on with it, we have Cazorla, Ramsey, Rosicky, and OXO who can play there too, and heck we could even play Sanchez in that number 10 role if we wanted to. And just look at our game against Dortmund, was Wilshere missed at all? Cazorla showed what he can do, and Ramsey also plays better when Wilshere isn't in the team, so losing Wilshere is not the end of the world. Out of all our starting creative midfielders Ozil-Cazorla-Ramsey, Wilshere isn't ahead of any of them for me and is certainly not better than any of them, heck I don't even think Wilshere merits a starting place ahead of Rosicky. Wilshere is the weakest creative midfielder we have out of the bunch, now Ozil is a big miss, Wilshere though....Not so much.

You must have blinked and missed it - either that or just being near the Arsenal bench is enough to injure someone!

The stats also reveal that Arsenal win/score/concede less a lot more when Wilshere is not in the team. Keep him out and injured i say

. And if they do say that, no honest Arsenal fan are going to say it's because of Wilshere. He may have just happened to be in that team, and you can use the same logic on the other players who also happened to be playing in those games.Not overly bothered about Wilshere but Walcott is the man i want to see back. The guy is taking an eternity to come back and I really want to see how he links up with Sanchez and Welbeck. It would be interesting to see how a OXO, Welbeck, Walcott attack with Sanchez being the main central attacking midfielder just behind. Sanchez is easily as good as Cazorla and Wilshere in that CAM area and it would also add a serious secondary goal threat with him. Also the attack would have some serious speed.

According to the press conference (though I haven't listened to it in full) - Welbeck and Sanogo are doubts and Walcott, Szczesny and Arteta are all out (as well as Wilshere).
If Welbeck and Sanogo are out, I'm assuming Giroud will start but not sure what striker we have to go on the bench. No mention of Kos, so hopefully he'll have recovered enough to start.

Giroud is a must to be honest. But what about Sanchez, aren't we overplaying and over-relying on the man? I'm sure the man is due for some sort of rest. Where is Gnarbry? Has he been loaned out or is he still injured? Our squad is already creaking under the pressure and we're not even half way. The backroom physio staff need to get their bloody finger out and do something about our injuries.
That's what I'm wondering - I haven't heard anything about Gnarby all season, he was supposed to be back from injury before Walcott. As you say we are relying way too heavily on Sanchez, and I worry next season he'll have injury problems because he's been over played this season. Problem is, he's practically the only one playing well and offering a threat.
Our injury problems have wider repercussions and this is one such problem. Our squad just isn't covering those who are injured or underperformed. Sanchez is our starman and he shouldn't be played into the ground so much so early. The same thing with Chambers, the guy is young and inexperienced and is being relied on too heavily so early on. I can understand injuries can happen and you never know when it's going to happen. But we got struck before and in the beginning of the season. Is this good enough? Walcott has been out for an extended time and was suppose to be back a couple weeks ago. This would have lessen the load on Sanchez, but he's off again for ???? Gnarbry had a promising start last season but got struck down with our injury curse. What on earth has happened to him? WE really could do with him right now too, even if its for 10/20 min sub sessions.
Sanchez was suppose to be the bonus, that little extra to raise our level. He's now our one and only player hauling our asses this season. Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with this team, they show promise and then pi$$ all over it. Strange.

Couldn't agree more with this.
Looking back, this is probably what happened to Vermaelen - had an awesome 1st season, scored goals and was a rock in defence, didn't misss a single game or get injured. Next season plagued by injuries, season after that missed most of the season, then couldn't get into the side, and was never the same player again, now out for 6 months...
Giroud was run into the ground last season, 2nd? game this season breaks foot and out for months, I hope he's brought back slowly. Welbeck was brought in for cover and has played every single game since signing.
Kos and Merts played every single game (practically) last season and one has been a shadow of his former self this season while the other has injury problems.
Ozil was played into the ground last season, then broke down in March and this season is injured - and still, a season and a half later hasn't played with Walcott!
I really hope it doesn't happen to Sanchez as he is awesome.
