Hey lads, me again!

£25m for me is a little on the low side, but considering how much we've struggled to sell players this Summer (struggled much more than I thought), I think Joe is one of the few players who we can get a sizeable fee in order to free up other cash to sign a more ready-made attacking midfielder. Whether that's Maddison or someone else remains to be seen, but the fact is, we need reinforcements in that area pronto if we're selling him. Otherwise it's a waste of time.

Based on all the other players we have right now, there are plenty of others I'd have preferred to sell in the pecking order before Joe. But needs must I guess.

I hope he is a big success with you and that he goes on to have a fantastic career. He's a good kid.

Treat him well <ok>.

Whats so frustrating about all this, we seem to be really a club with some level of ambition, we have a decent face paced squad, we aren't sellers anymore and we sign our targets with some decent numbers being knocked about.

But our manager is some boring yes man.

I'd be happier if we just had Jones in the managers job now and see how things go, move Bruce upstairs.

I don't really care who the manager is if things are going OK.

I was well in the Bruce out camp until Jones came in and things have been good since then, so I'm fine with Bruce

I agree, but I just can't help but think we'd be a few places higher in the league with a bit more of a competitive man at the helm.

But maybe not, who knows.

£25M is a great deal tbh, wheelin and dealin comes in handy sometimes.

I gotta admit, this new method of just one big signing every window is a much better method than signing up five or six **** lads.

This signing and the 3-0 win over Norwich gives me big hope, since Graeme came back the friendly performances are so much better.

He's a top manager.

Willocks career stats make his loan period at the Toon look like a huge anomaly. We’ll now find out if that was the real him or not. I reckon he’ll probably do alright personally.

He's not a goal scorer he's a box to box. Even if you take the goals away he's operating on a different level to our current cms, so it's a great signing for us.. Only 21 too, but I hope people don't expect him to keep scoring every game and basically expect too much

his Arsenal goal stats were based on bit part appearances. He’s one of those players who just needs stability and a decent run to get up to speed.

When you've got the Longstaffs Hayden and Hendrick it's like swapping a Nissan micra for a mustang

Yas he definitely drags the team up.

I remember last season when he was in full flow the whole team looked much better, then in the match he couldn't play against Arsenal, we went back to being **** and lifeless, then looked good again as soon as he came back. He ain't just a goal machine.

Great news this. Very much a modern player. He will hopefully help us become a little less defensive as we were before he arrived.

I think people need to not get too carried away. He's just a young lad so will have peaks and troughs. Move in the right direction however, and you feel if we could pin down one top class central midfielder, our team would be transformed.

What it does mean is that at various times this season we will get to watch Almiron, ASM, Willock, Wilson tear it up in unison. Makes us a lot more watchable regardless of results.

Defences won't like those 4 coming at them

Maybe Big Joe will find some tranquility to improve with attention elsewhere. He showed signs last year. Never ever gonna make a 40m man, but I think we've just got to forget that now and make the best of him.

I think Fraser and Joelinton are decent enough back up and we're going to have injuries and times when players need a rest, so hopefully they'll step up..

Joelinton did improve, but he isn't a starter in my eyes, but I have a feeling we won't see what we want start on Sunday.

Bruce really doesn't like playing more than 2 or 3 attacking players and it holds us back imo.
