I had the privilege one night to go a football function with Jack being the guest speaker.
I sat next to him at dinner, and was part of the private party who went back to his cousins pub( who I played darts for) for late drinks.
He was warm, funny and engaging.

Bobby had the talent and Jack had the genial personality, a great manager.

I went to an Aberdeen function where Jack and Neil Ruddock were guest speakers - I had a quick chat with them when they were outside having a smoke! Sadly, Jack was clearly on the decline then.

Well, Palace and Fulham won't be sacking their managers so both would have to be lured away. Leicester or Saints are probably his most likely destinations.

Think a job in Germany is probably more likely given his kids live there.
Well Leipzig want either Fabregas or Glasner apparently and no other German club have been linked with him. I guess Wolfsburg is a possibility.

Selles looks set to be sacked by Hull if rumours are believed.

Anyone?

(Obviously sarcasm I dont think he would be the guy for us, but incredibly harsh if he does get chucked. He needs to stop going to basket case clubs).

They sacked Rosenior after he almost got them play offs. They realised they ****ed that up when his replacement had them in the drop zone, so they sacked him. They then hired Selles to keep them up and are now going to sack him because... he kept them up? <laugh>

Bad news for us if Rohl is either Fulham or Palaces first choice. He likely will want to wait to see what happens with Silva and Glasner before making a decision.

So there you go, Palace could be in for a new manager?
I think if we want Rohl, the club should look to confirm asap even if it means paying a bit more in compensation. The moral at the club, from the players to the fans, is at an all time low.
Season tickets are due to be announced and I think everyone needs a lift and some positivity moving into the summer.
There is also a big job of moving on and bringing in players ready to hit the ground running next season.

However, this report is probably agent talk trying to hurry Southampton up, as I can’t see Palace or Fulham taking a gamble on a mid table championship manager, with 18 months experience?
I think McKenna from Ipswich is more likely to pick up a job at those kind of clubs.

Now that would be good news for the rest of the Championship. If they keep him, they'll go right back up.

I know Ruben as his son plays Tyro league with mine. His family still live in the South and it was always the intention that they would move up to Hull in prep for the 25/26 season. He's never called it out directly but I wouldn't be surprised if there were some clauses in his contract should he not have kept them up. He wasn't willing to drag them up there in the middle of a school year to potentially see it all fall apart come June.

I can see Silva at Spurs, if Iraola doesn’t fancy that job and Bournemouth are prepared to keep spending for another year
Possibly, but I can see him being wary of taking that job. Is the Spurs job that attractive any more? Son is now well into his 30's, they replaced Kane with Solanke and Levy is not a good person to work under.

I so want Iraola to go to Spurs. I really think Bournemouth will 'do a Saints' pretty quickly afterwards. Also, I had a coffee at work with a big huge Bompey fan and after me prefacing the convo with "Congrats on being the best South Coast club", he kept saying why would Iraola go to Spurs over Bompey. I am pretty sure if offered he will do it.

Oh I agree. I think I’d stay put if I were him. But I can see Silva getting itchy feet and jumping at it. He never really sticks around and there’s been noise about him since last summer when Saudi came calling
