Anyone know what's happening?

As far as I know his contract expired a week ago, but I've seen no mention of him being offered another deal, or having been released(he's not on the PFA released list).

Personally, I think he should be released, he's not going to cut it and Devitt and Emerton must both be ahead of him now.
 
His twitter on Monday: "Tough day back at hull today, pre season doesn't get any easier! Let's do it all again tomorrow!"
 
I still can't believe he's 22 (and 23 just 2 months into the new season). If he were just a couple of years younger I'd be happy to keep him, but surely, for the benefit of his own career, he's got to drop a division and get a bit of experience. He's wasting away his professional years!
 
On my spreadsheet I had him down as being out of contract this summer (as well as Oxley) so I'm surprised as well.

I've never seen them announce an extension, but thinking about it FM have had him as contracted til next summer right from the first database for the 2011 game. I know it's not gospel, but they usually have contract expiries right.

It was listed as expiring this season on the City Mad list(I know they haven't updated it for a while, but they were still right when they went on there), there's definitely been no extension announced and the HDM mentioned him alongside Duke and ***an, as a player they were expecting to see released.

The contract situation is confusing. If he's in pre-season training, surely he's under contract for another season?

Did OK at Rochdale last season, but would be surprised if Keith Hill took him to Barnsley. Most of us would agree he isn't good enough for this league - he definitely struggled when he played against Swansea and Millwall.

One of the young players who hasn't really lived up to all the hype. It would have been wrong to expect too much, but the likes of him, Cooper, Cullen and Cairney in paticular didn't produce when given the chance. Could we see more of them next season?
