Just bought my ticket for Saturday and although it's only Wigan I couldn't be more happy if I tried.
I'm absolutely stoked for it. I mean, I know we've played at Man. City but for me it really doesn't seem real until the Premier League hits St Mary's.
I think it's been made even sweeter by the fact that I've had to sit and watch us play the Bury's and the MK Dons to get back to the Premier League.
I can't pretend to have watched Saints play every week in League 1 and the Championship, although living over 3 hours away I think I have a valid excuse. I still did my fair share of journeys to the League 1 and Championship grounds, though.
I think having been part of that journey from the depths of hell (League 1) back to where we belong makes this Saturday all the more sweet.
I bear no grudges against the so-called fair-weather fans however I do think those who stopped turning up throughout the League 1/Championship games won't appreciate this weekend as much as I will.
For me it really feels special because it feels like we're back where we belong, and after a long fight too. Can anybody tell me if there are any tributes to Markus planned???
I really feel we owe him such a debt and that we should show our gratitude. I'd love to get involved with anything that's happening!
I'll be making the journey on my own from (not so) sunny Leicester on my own so if anyone fancys a swift pint before the game so I'm not a lonely ba****d then let me know!
