NP will have learnt a great deal about the squad last night lets face it if he wants to keep his job until the new year he needs to assess the entire squad against proper opposition. Our first choice 11 is a match for anything in this division. yes the promotion isnt in the bag but NP has to start looking and planning for next season in the PL. Lets face it the players we will be looking to buy in the transfer window will be a lot different than this. we Know he likes to get his transfer business over and done early in the window, probably why you'll never see him panicking buying like Harry on the last day on sky spots
Yes, you can see why he rotated, and yes it was a gamble to make six changes. Quite ironic that despite some wobbles this team kept the record going and got a point away at one of the league's best teams. In a sense it was a 'spare' game, and a loss would not have impacted our destiny greatly. Difficult for players who have had little match practice to come in and set the world alight, but they got there. But despite the goals it's difficult to imagine King and Hammond have done enough to get the nod over the usual pair for Friday.
I'd expect reversion to the 'usual' line up on Friday - subject to injuries - suspect Vardy may be out if he has truly 'tweaked' his groin ...
There is no one to replace him in the starting line up. Wood and GTF will be too slow and super Kev won't be to much effect starting games. Subbing him off after an hour would be our best bet
Vardy and Wood could be a really interesting pairing, we've only ever really seen one or the other paired with Nugent. I always like to think of Wood as a target man, just because he's tall, though I've realised it's not really his game. Vardy would probably be an even better player with a target man.
Ive not seen him win a header yet, although i saw him challenge for one recently, and he scored from it.
