Give Whyte some credit. He constantly took the fight to Parker who when it got rough didn't want to know. Lets not forget, Parker had never been floored in his career but Whyte nearly took his head off ( not talking about the clash of heads ) when he put him down later in the fight. Whyte showed plenty of guts and warrior like qualities and wanted it more than Parker, last round excepted.

I'm not surprised Parker didn't fancy it... At the beginning of one of the middle rounds he almost got chucked out of the ring, and the ref was like "meh...". That was pretty much the attitude to all the non-boxing tactics employed... you know the 3 guillotines, the punches to the back of the head, low blows, the pushing and wrestling etc. It summed it up in the last 15 seconds where Whyte flopped on Parker to stop him punching him, and Ian John Lewis was just tapping him going "... now come on boys.... you stop that... hey boys, boys, 3 seconds left... boys, hello... oh I can't stop this.... annnnnd done".

The Americans will watch that and I'm sure it will put them off fighting here, which may impact the Joshua vs Wilder dust-up, or Whyte vs Wilder. Why would you want to fight with such partisan refereeing?

Parker was the better boxer, and certainly walks away with more fans than he started with, whereas Whyte takes the win and very little else.

I hope Whyte gets laid out by someone, preferrably Joshua.

I kinda feel Parker let himself down again. He took too long to get going. The roughhouse tactics certainly got to him. Ref could have been stricter but you are gonna get that at times and have to adapt. Perhaps having felt the weight of Whytes punches Parker was a little reticent to let his hands go? It cost him dearly. I felt he allowed Whyte to take rounds he shouldn’t have. A good night of boxing and MMA.

They’re on about Wilder for Whyte. Wilder won't want any of that. Whyte is an awkward nights work. Wilder needs to stop his ****e and sign for the fight. Get the 50/50 our his head, understand who is the A side and make more money than you’ve ever made in your life. If he truly believes he beats Joshua he’d just get on with it. He ain’t getting that money anywhere else. Joshua is every time he fights.
