Didn't want him to suffer too much? Or maybe geographical reasons...Lad'll get enough stick t'up North at school being a Hornet.
It was never too bad really because we're a mostly unhatable club and more importantly we always win in Yorkshire. Most people up here don't even know where Watford is (try explaining to a Northerner that a place can be on the London Underground map but not actually be in London.)
I think he is right. Support your local team. The only exception is if you live in Milton Keynes. It is okay to have a soft spot for your parents' team(s) but you shouldn't have to support them unless you live in the same area in which they grew up.

Don't tell that to Mlle Yorkie
and our nearest team is Leeds![]()
Ah! I need to clarify what I wrote. I mean your local team when you start supporting a team, not the team closest to where you live at any given time in your life.
Phew! So it's two little Hornets I'll be putting to bed tonight, not two little Hatters! Phew! So it's two little Hornets I'll be putting to bed tonight, not two little Hatters!

I would not have fed my son if he had not supported my team![]()
Leo. Does that work for other disciplinary issues?

It works .....my Huddersfield born godson and his dad both support Watford![]()
.....as interested in football as he was in the migratory habits of 7th century Tibetan monks.
WELL>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> have a lot of interest in Tibetan monks having lived and worked in the region.. did you know they could survive in minus 20c with just a thin robe and no food and they could travel at great speed covering many miles in 10 day by virtually trampolining across the terrain..... so there![]()
