Owen hasn't been much good since he left Liverpool. He's had his moments - the Champions League hat-trick for United springs to mind - but by-and-large it's been all downhill. He's made more than enough money to retire and enjoy the rest of his life, with no worries apart from whether his donkey will win its latest race. I'd call it quits if I were him. If I were a Stoke fan I'd be worried about us signing such a pigheaded **** too, especially when he's so prone to injuries.

Notwithstanding it wasn't "so much money" if you can do arithmetic, we haven't lost any money yet. If Carroll's sold we won't get £35m for him but then we made £15m profit swapping him for Torres, excluding the wages we cut going from one to the other. Arithmetic, see? So we might not break even but we won't make much of a loss.
Today's fans think one season equals patience. Like you. Especially when last season was a wholesale swap of several players at once. We'll never know how the players would've done under Kenny this season and next, or who else he'd have brought in. They certainly still believed in him at the end of last season and he certainly believed he still had work to do. Gary Gllespie and Jan Molby were on LFC TV tonight, laying into fans who disregard everything that was good about last season and judging players by one season. Gillespie got quite wound up. Molby made the point that he had a disastrous first season for Liverpool. He'd have been judged harshly on that one season, just like Kenny's signings.

Paul Ince was a West Ham youth teamer not a Manchester United youth teamer, you could mention Peter Beardsley whilst your at it, he came out of Carlisles youth team. Owen having come out of Liverpools academy and joining Manchester United is the reason why Liverpool fans have denounced his legend status.
There is others that have done similar i.e. Sol Campbell Spurs to Arsenal, Alan Smith Leeds to Manchester United.
Alan Smith was once asked ''Which club do you hate most'' and he said ''Manchester United'' and he ended up joining them. You have to give Gerrard and Rooney respect, Rooney hates Liverpool and would never player for us, not that we would have him. Gerrard hates Manchester United, and would never play for them.
Owen is an Evertonian so I'm surprised he was considered a "legend" in the first place. Same goes for Fowler, Carragher and McManaman. I know Gerrard has denied being an Evertonian but what kind of Liverpool supporting dad would let his son wear the blue of Everton, even if only for a one off picture?
Gerrards maternal uncle( His mums brother) is an Evertonian and he was 7 years old at the time, and he did it not knowing any better. Thats why he wore it. He's been a Liverpool fan since he's known the difference. He's in the top 3 Liverpool fans to play for Liverpool after John Aldridge and Phil Thompson.
