Oh i understand perfectly well, and its page 24, apologies. And you're the twat(HA! bet you didn't see that one coming)
In 18 months Chelsea have spent well in excess of £120million on players. That doesnt include wages either. Between 2007 and 2010 Chelsea spent much like a normal club would spend. No £100million+ sprees and pretty sensible stuff going on. They had grown up basically. Since 2010 Chelsea have again started splashing the cash. Now over that time Chelsea have won a PL title, 2 FA Cups and the Champions League so about £75million in prize money and the subsequent TV money you get. The issue for Chelsea is wages. the fact wages at £191million which is something crazy like 80-90% of revenue. Uefa will demand to see this dropped to around 70%. Possible with players set to leave but as I said to purley, wages wont go down because a player on £7.5m a year leaves......the player signed to replace him will come at a higher cost, both in fees and wages. The Hazard wages are evidence of this and at £170k a week you will soon find other players on less and upcoming signings will demand similar wages....wages you cannot afford or sustain. Both Chelsea and City will push FFP to its limits, Chelsea CL success may save them, without it you were in serious trouble but its a dangerous game to plan your finances based around success. Leeds will tell you that.
Oh christ, now we've got the Manure resident account in. Cove you should be happy because according to you RA is spending millions to build a team that won't be allowed in the CL. Then we'll have no income,he'll get bored and we'll be back to mid table where we belong. I just don't get why you aren't encouraging us to actually spend more.
You don't understand the 191M wage! It comes from the whole group which is 18 companies and some of these companies are not football related so will not affect FFP. Swiss ramble researched this in detail and found out are football related wagebill is 168M, so we are well in course for FFP.
Obviously the financial team at Chelsea are **** and haven’t got a clue .............I hope the ****ers have logged on and are reading all this. Thanks united, thanks Cove, thanks to all the others (to many to mention.) Again Thanks.
Wrong, the 191million is player wages. The 168million figure only included 5 months of Torres and Cahills wages. Torres is on daft money and Cahill about 80k a week. so the extra £23million is a full year of Torres and Cahill. Of course that figure will go up and down as players leave and some come in. These latest accounts are based after the last Swiss ramble blog. His only included the 5months of wages paid to Cahill and Torres and are done by Deloitte.
Someone at Chelsea is ****. Why have matchday revenues gone down by nearly 8million? Cheaper tickets? ( madness if true )
Excluding exceptionals the annual wage bills have been 2008 - £137.6m 2009 - £142.6m 2010 - £161.3m 2011 - £156.6m Your telling me are wage bill has nearly gone up 35mil this year?
There, i fixed it for you. And yes it did. Season increments, renewal of contracts, bonus clausules upon winning both CL and FA cup, they all add up. And it will only increase if the wages of Hulk and Hazard are higher than Drogba, Bosingwa and Kalou together for example.
Yep, well dunno the exact figure as the last accounts were posted at £168million in January covering 2010-11 ( june ) so I place it at £23million. You still pay AVB on his £12million a year contract. Torres was on £110k at Liverpool so its fair to say hes on more at Chelsea. £180k. Seen some figures of well over £200k aswell but unlikely. Then you have to factor in any wage increases players are due, we would never know about these but its very much likely players get them for different reasons. Your players likely got a pay increase after winning the 2010 PL and the 2012 CL. None of us know the exact figures and none of us know how Chelsea really feel about FFP. They are clearly going to put a brave face on regardless but all I am saying is there is work to be done still and Roman needs to be careful not to go on a mad spending spree I think you will pass, just. I doubt City will. infact unless they buy Uefa I am sure they wont pass the first time round. Second time after selling everyone and buying cheap players they might be ok.....but they will be Man City again, nobodies who once did a Michael Carroll.
You're such a!!!!!! For the 10/11 season Chelsea loss was 67mil, but this included exceptional items of 42mil, so the underlying loss was 25m. FFP allows football clubs some more costs to be excluded (yourth, depreciation etc) which is estimated at 18m, so Chelsea 10/11 loss was just 7M! in FFP terms. If we were to say get a sponsor for Stamford bridge we will actually be making a profit in FFP. If Chelsea buys Hazard and Hulk for 70mil, for 5 year contracts, annual impact will be only £12m player amortisation (£70m / 5 years).
yes but then add the near 9million in wages for Hazard and probably the same if not more for Hulk, Marin will be on £100k so thats another £5million, wage increases from last seasons success aswell. Then theres other players you will sign. Even another 3 on reasonable Chelsea wages on 80-100k a week will add 13-15million on. So buy 6 players and pay them nearly £40million in wages. You have £25million in wages coming off or already coming off between 2011 and 2012. ----------------------------------------------- Wages may be different, Hazards is almost certainly correct and I am basing the fact Hulk will want parity with a player who will do a similar role to him on the left. £100k is about your average wage in the first team.
Like i said in earlier posts, once FFP goes into effect, doesn't matter if it is partial or fully. The wages have to go down, transferbudgets will go down and clubs are forced to start looking at their core business plan. Ticket sales, Merchandise, TV income and Sponsors. Out here in the NL we already are in that situation now for two years. We still have high value transfers and high wages. But it has decreased alot since 2009. Youth players are getting a chance with great examples being Luciano Narsingh and Jetro Willems making the the Dutch National Squad for the coming EC. Both wouldn't have had a chance if it weren't for FFP. Since the implementation of FFP rules by the Dutch FA in 2010, alot of young talent has risen up in the Eredivisie and i think the same will happen in England when it goes into effect in 2013.
Why would Marin be on 100k? Your totally guessing what wages hulk + marin will be on! Drogba/Alex/Boswinga/Kalou/Anelka all left the wage bill and your telling me only '25mil' will be coming of the wagebill?
I would also like to say Chelsea, City, PSG, Malaga and co wont be punished first. The cub who will be punished first is the club who matters least in football out of the rich clubs. Anzhi will be the guinea pig for testing punishments. They are a massive joke of a club. Dont even have any fans in their home towns and they have to fly players in for every home game from moscos... 3000miles a games roundtrip.
Consider drogbas wage is a 3rd of that almost then its not too hard to make £25million. £7.5million for drogba and 5-6 for the rest. Probably more for anelka. Marins wage is a guess based on your other wages. He may be on around 80-100k tbh.
Oh and hulks on £120k a week at Porto. He will be on more at Chelsea hence me saying he will demand parity with Hazard.
