I was stupid enough to renew my season ticket and now I have lost all interest.

Is it possible to rekindle one's interest in a game that has become so corrupted by greed?

Hey, welcome back Godders, where have you been?

Edit: don't worry, I've seen the other thread now. Sorry you didn't enjoy camping, but Polperro is lovely.

I liked the fish and chips and the cream teas but boy does the temperature drop in a tent at night. I should have known better but I was persuaded that modern day camping is nothing like I remembered from the boy scouts in the 1940s and 50s.

It took me back to my childhood reading in bed at night with a torch.

I liked Fowey and the Eden Project (that was the only time I actually felt warm) but you are correct Polperro is lovely.

The very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov is now known as "mer dear".

Shagging on an inflatable mattress is an experience best avoided as it usually ends up with the tent being brought down.

This tent

may be cheap but it is not what you need for two weeks camping on the side of a hill in Cornwall for what passes as a British Summer.

Next year (if there is a next year) it will be B&B in Bournemouth as usual.

There are superb tents (almost as dear as staying at a B and B), but I certainly wouldn't try camping again. I went round Cornwall and Devon on a camping holiday in 1964...never again. Three star is roughing it as far as I'm concerned.

We are going through an unbelievable time at the moment...though nothing like our administration period (aka pre-Saint Markus). I am upset by the complete lack of loyalty shown by players who've had our devotion, but that is because none are fans, they are employees. We have an experienced manager and lots of dosh...not ideal trying to buy a whole new team...but a long way from our darkest hour. We will still be in a better position than for many of our previous seasons in the EPL.

Attempting to bring the thread back to football

Surely a game like Liverpool away is going to be enough to get the pecker up again. Playing against former players and a club who are trying to rip us apart is almost enough to call them our rivals and replace Portsmouth/Brighton and other failed challengers
