Interesting question posed to me this evening: of the players that have been seriously linked with the club in recent weeks, who would you most like to see Saints sign?

Try and keep the suggestions realistic ;)

Banega's probably the most talented, but Wanyama is a much better fit. Wanyama.

Wanyama is a very good player but central midfield is arguably our strongest position. I think we really need a forward or wide man, maybe like a consistent Dos Santos.

Banega. He's the most outstanding player in this company, and we have no one quite like him in the squad. Would add another dimention to our game

A want a British player, buying all these foreigners is where we went wrong last time.

I personally feel that's a slightly antiquated thinking.

I appreciate the validity in arguing that a multi-lingual team may struggle to communicate but I don't believe that simply signing a 'foreigner' is a cause for concern. We top most tables when comparing the English contingents of Premier League squads so I don't think we are at risk of losing our British core; Shaw, Clyne, Rodriguez, Lallana and Cork provide a brilliant spine of English talent that are likely to feature in our starting XIs frequently next season and we have Lambert, Davis and Puncheon to add to that.

I think you missed the sarcasm or pisstake here from DTLW
