There's all sorts of rumours blowin up about us moving for players, no smoke without fire, I'd expect some business very soon

Hopefully along with an announcement on lambert and management team

I liked the look of Joe mattock and thought he would be decent back up for tierney, he has now been released by WBA so would be ideal as he's a freebie.

Has anyone seen the rumours about Mohammed abdalloue or what ever his name is! Plays for hannover.

this is true. whitbread was told to accept our offer or leave, so its no surprise he's gone. i think that has saved ward's bacon too as i feel he would have gone otherwise. he still might of course! as you say, they'll both have no problems finding football clubs to play for next season <ok>

Do you have some sort of source in the club Supers? Just curious because I don't know how you will know about Whitbread rejecting contract and then told to leave?

I think Whitbread is our best centre back, personally unsure about Bennett and and think Ward has made mistakes this season. Ayala top player but injuries have been difficult hopefully he will remain fit next season, personally I think the only reason Whitbread is left is because he probably has a move lined up.

Bit gutted about Wilbraham, seems to be a massive part of the dressing room and it's sad to see players who work hard, been given a chance in the prem walk out the door. I think it's definitely the right call and wish him the best. I think he is one of many players who has epitomized our journey and has played a massive part in that.

I still think Ward, Drury, Francomb and maybe Korey Smith might be released too. Fox part of the kit launch, Lambert part of the end of season dinner speech joked about might be given 2 month contract which I don't think he would joke about is he isn't going to be offered a contract. I think he'll stay and rightly so!

I think Drury might get a year deal, not sure though...

I hope so, I think his performance this season merits it. Wouldn't surprise me if Player/Coach or if he is offered another deal Lambert lets him do badges or something

We should take care of him and his performances warrant it. He's still very useful and good for the dressing room balance, not worth getting rid of him.

Guys, do we all have to be in on the Ward bashing? He hasn't been great lately but as long as he is on our books we should be supporting him! A little disappointed!

Ward will stay. In Bennett, Ayala and I suppose Russ Martin we have three ball playing centre backs, Ward is more the hoof it clear centre back and the only one we have so unless we get a replacement he'll be staying

He has made mistakes this year, I am surprised he hasn't been included in this batch if Whitbread has. I will support the guy all along, but you can't deny he has made errors and defensive errors have been too common this year I think.
