Personally, I feel if we can get Vaughan fit for more than 10 minutes, he could be an excellent asset, and is certainly more in Lambert's plans than Chrissy Martin. Also, theres little point cashing in on Vaughan whilst his stock is pretty much as low as it could get. Whilst I can see Huddersfield accepting a deal involving Martin, as it's like-for-like, I can't see Leeds being interested in a striker who wouldn't make their first team most of the time, for one of their star players. They'd probably rather have cash than Martin.
City fans always need a player to pick on. Remember when Russell Martin was the most useless player Carrow Road had ever seen? Then it was John Ruddy followed by De Laet. These people don't seem to understand that if these players were that awful PL wouldn't play them. Conversely with City fans when you do get a player completely out of his depth at a higher level - Cody McDonald and Chris Martin as examples - they want them given a never ending stream of chances to prove their worth. PL knows what he wants from his players and if he is happy with Ward then that is good enough for me.
