Stumpy if 'research' is a George Galloway video, don't be surprised if you don't get any credence from me. Galloway was funded by the monster that was Saddam. Valley you suggested that the USA as a whole arrived late into the war almost as if it was cowardice. Because the USA is a democracy that had to be passed through their democratic process. The USA supported us before that with food and weapons, when the decision was taken to enter the war thy fully participated. Its a FACT stumpy that the USA is far more democratic than the UK. They have a written bill of rights and constitution' something that should be done in the UK. Traitors like Snowden put at risk the hard won democratic victories of our forebears, they should be put on public trial and sentenced accordingly. Aber you are boring me, so its the end of this thread for me, just going to get a gin and tonic to watch the cricket a far more civilised per suit.
I'm pretty sure that Afro American, Gay Americans, American Muslims, or basically anython who is not a right wing, White Christian American would disagree with you. Sorry Gendros but your view that has been proven by American senate, British and international law to be wrong but I am open to your opinion, so I ask you to point me to evidence which backs up your view. Your basic assertion is also incorrect. The allegation at the time was that Galloway received kick backs from the Saddam regimen not that he 'funded Saddam' Galloway may not be everyone's cup of tea but he is not the terrorist that Murdochs mafia tried to portray him as. Not everyone lives in a world where the word in the 'News' is Gospel and not everyone lives their lives according to the meme of the day
Have you not heard of the Magna Carter? I have also not even suggested that the USA were cowards. If you want to debate learn how to read first as you are boring the arse off me with your yanks love in. You talk about democracy, where does spying and invading the privacy of others come under democracy? Explain that.
Valley the Magna Carter was written for English Barons if you read your history, hardly any of pertains to modern law if you ever bothered to look it up. You would be better griping about being a 'subject'. Stumpy, Galloway will try and appeal to any group to try and support his spurious claims, I don't mind people seeing his rants as it shows most reasonable people what a clown he is. By the way I don't see him as a terrorist but an idiot who funds his extremely wealthy lifestyle by spouting far fetched rubbish. It is precisely because of the bill of rights and a written constitution in the USA that black Americans fought and won against henious segregation, the same is true in the USA for those of any faith or sexual orientation, I wish we were afforded the same rights in the UK. Its great folks on here have freedom of speech and can spout whatever they like, facts are though that it is the USA, who police the world for us and buy those rights for us. That comes at a cost and you have to face up to it.
Well Gendros, we are not only on a different page but apparently in a different library. I completely disagree with your assertion that USA 'polices the world'. The USA does not do that in any way shape or form and your assertion that you feel they do, sorry Gendros, but it made me drop my head in despair. For political inspection and Media sound bite opportunities only, the blue helmeted Peace Keeping Force (a misnomer but that's another story) of the United Nations purports to police the world. You will find our blue helmeted friends in any 'Theatre of Dispute' where there is NO apparent oar, mineral or Oil wealth in the region of conflict. The only region where you will find The United Nations Peace Keeping Force where there substantial natural resources are apparent is in Israel, where there is a permanent, mobile Garrison stationed Anyway Gendros, you haven't given me anything to look at, read, check or underpin your assertions so its difficult for me to continue our debate so, I think I'll beg to differ and leave it there. You are entitled to your views, even though I may disagree with them, but hey, how boring it would be if everyone thought the same way. See you back on our forum where we can talk all things Swans
Sorry if I have offended you Stumpy, but my beef ab out this post is about 'freedom', and not so much about 'politics'. It is easy to talk about overthrow and revolution without looking at consequences. If we had a bill of rights and a written constitution I would quite happily live with you and valley in political power if you were democratically elected. For what its worth I have never voted conservative or for any right wing party and never voted labour while Blair was in power. I have however been to some of the places during my time in the forces and seen stuff with my own eyes (obviously in between killing innocent women and children) I know the right intensions were in place. But when you do unleash the dogs of war look out, things don't go as wished or as planned. See you about, you know I don't post often as my mouth does seem to get me in trouble! As always STID.
Getting under your skin hughs? what a shame. I post on the Swansea board too you know. Hughs, you sound more like a banjo player with every post. My advice to you, try to improve the quality of your life, leave the estate for a short while, go to the shops on your own, take a trip to Barry. Just try to expand your horizons. Different experiences help us grow but do take your time hughs, as you don't want to blow your mind with your first solo trip to the newsagents. One small step at a time hughs, one small step.
