Never had that problem as I hold onto hope of survival until it is mathematically impossible to survive.
That is the only time I'm resigned to relegation.

Finally!

I had no chance that night, I was absolutely mortal .......... what I was getting at was that people often come on here saying 'it's just a game and Sunderland/football aren't that important when I think about my wife/job/kids/dog'.

If everyone took that attitude there wouldn't be football forums and, to take it to a logical conclusion, no football.

We all have stuff that's more important than football & forums but you have to suspend that reality while you're at the game, watching the match on TV or posting on a forum. People who lose arguments, on here, often use the 'get out clause' when they've started an argument they can't finish or said something they can't back up.
