I saw enough of leicester last year to think they may well thrive in the PL
There are enough established PL sides who they will fancy taking points off and if they make the KP an inhospitable plac to come they will stay up comfortably
Need to ditch that drummer though,he's ****

... a sensible post, one which perhaps unsurprisingly, I tend to agree with ... there is huge hunger in our squad combined with a fair sprinkling of talent ... certain posters seem to be in awe of the Prem ... yes there are some very good teams ... but as European opposition showed last season ... even the best of our teams are beatable on any given day ...

Some good & honest posts all of a sudden. 71% saying between 9th - 17th, quite abit more than I 1st thought tbh.

I think we are still going to do abit of bizz in the market so I wouldn´t be surprised if we strengtherned our back line. Rumor has it that Konch may go ? & I still believe we are abit weak in this position so, what, 11 days to go before the season starts. Could be abit of movement at Filber Way :emoticon-0112-wonde

There may well be interest in Redknapp's charges at 11/8 (2.38) with bet365 to finish above both Leicester and Burnley but Rangers could be considered fortunate to have gained promotion and they may well find it difficult to adjust to the step up in class.

Leicester City, by contrast, smashed several club records in gaining promotion last season and, although they have been absent from the top flight for 10 years, there is no doubt that Nigel Pearson's side look best equipped of the Premier League "new boys" and there is value in backing the Foxes to be the top newly-promoted club at even money (2.0) with bet365.

<whistle>

Theres a good chance that you guys will stay up in my opinion, but really by the skin of your teeth. I really think Burnley will be relegated by March. I think its really a dual with you guys, Sunderland, Hull, QPR, West Brom, Palace and villa. I think 2 of Hull, Villa and West Brom will join Burnley. It'll be very tough to finish top 10.
Good luck with the season boys, I'll be pulling for you.

I wholeheartedly agree with the entirety of this post <ok>

Thanks!

@SimonThomasSky: I understand Gary O'Neil has passed his medical at Norwich City and will soon be announced as a #NCFC player.

We missed a trick there. Alot of prem experience, just forget the fact he is abit ****, QPR did

I have gone for between 9th & 17th, with 17th being a more realistic finishing place. Much will be down to your home form, win enough home games (around 9 or 10 - sounds easy eh?) and you should be okay. If you don't, I think you will go straight back down as I would not expect many/enough away points to be honest.

Actually, historically, we've always done as well on the road as at home. There are two ways to look at that really: 1. We do a lot better than most clubs our size away from home and 2. we never quite manage to create a home "fortress" unlike some clubs. If we could have both these things then 9th would be more realistic than 17th!

Seems i was more informed about the Leicester team than their own fans were. Which is of course, no surprise to anyone <ok>

Wumming aside, I think your squad drastically overachieved last season. It's obviously a fantastic championship team- but in my opinion that won't translate to the PL. The 100point tally could be your downfall, because it'll have lulled the ownership into a false sense of security. Major additions are required to secure survival, but it seems there'll only be superficial tinkering.

The hope and ambitions I see on this thread are very similar to those expressed by QPR fans after our 10/11 campaign. The top-tier is a cruel mistress fellas: as you'll soon find out..!

None of your 4 biggest attacking threats from last season will have any effect in the prem. Vardy and Nugent will be next to useless (as the latter has already shown). There's a reason Ings and Austin have been linked with moves to PL clubs this summer, rather than those 2. Knockaert- a flaky unproven 22 year old. Dyer- gone. Dyer's championship impact for you will be 100times that of albrighton's this season.
I'm not even going to go into the rest of your team, but when Old Man Wes is your best defender...there are serious issues. The likes of Lukaku will be licking their lips

The 100pts is only a negative because it's making all of you think you're better prepared than you are. You don't have many individuals who're suited to making the step up- consistently beating the likes of Yeovil means very little in the top tier. Schmeichel is the only one I can think of who'll do well; which means you'll only see him at the king power for 1 more season.

Bring in a few more quality operators and maybe you'll be alright. But based on your transfer window so far, it seems Nige very much believes in the 100pt hype. Who were the previous couple of 100pt'ers to be promoted? Reading + Newcastle and think. They had more effective weapons at Premier League level in their sides than you do.

<laugh> All this smugness about how well run a club you are, and how smoothly you'll transition to the PL. Your manager has no top level experience, neither do most of your players, neither do your owners and board. The majority of the posters here were probably about 8 the last time you were in the top flight too.

LOL an attempted wind-up might have worked, if you weren't below us in the league <doh>

Plus, it's 10 games in... Don't get carried away with being a smug bastard, we showed in the early games where we were more than competitive against Chelsea, Arsenal, and most importantly Man Utd.

Let's wait til the end of the season before you start blowing your own trumpet, eh?

I guess we are both happy. If you think James, Drinkwater and Mahrez are good enough then that's all that matters, six easy points for the Tigers as well!

Who were your six easy points against?

Thanks for the 4 points from you, looks like you really could have done with those at the end of the season though!? <laugh>

Jumped the gun a bit here Grifter <doh>

Seems we did know more than you (which of course, is no surprise to anyone <ok>)

As for the Dramas... It also transpires that we were more informed than you... We told you multiple times that you were sh*te <laugh>

Some of your fans think you will do a Southampton, the squad that you have now could very well do a Derby. If you think your squad is ready then good luck to you.

Aw these Hull fans thinking they knew everything about our squad...
We did tell you at the time you were being naive, but nope, we were arrogant/deluded and you all knew more than us...

"Could very well do a Derby" <laugh>
