    I 'd like to think not. <ok>

But where's Sparkey? Isn't he interested in the answer to his question? I think the answer is "Lower than you were yesterday" <laugh>

Consistency is a must now or all the good work done against the toon will again be lost like we have been doing all season. If we can get a result against Hull who are no mugs then we will have a small gap to go to our bogey team norwich but should we have a bad game against hull then we are back where we started. If we can beat hull and Norwich then we will have learned something about being consistent and will climb the table into where we all thought we would be at the beginning of the season and with a great chance of getting one of the european places...Consistency has been our biggest fault so far this season...,

Agree Dai. Wins against NU, Hull and Norwich could potentially be huge momentum changers <ok>

I think 6 points from NCFC, Hull and Norwich would be a great result for us, what is throwing a spanner in the works is the points gained by the lower teams from a poor Man u and Chelsea this season! Cardiff need to start playing football and stop putting 11 behind the ball and go for a sucker set piece all the time. This will not be enough to keep them in the prem and its starting to show. As a club I think there are other clubs which bring more to the prem (footballing wise) than the dire anti football tactics of Cardiff. I rather see them be relegated because they are boring to watch! (Apart from the Man u game, they actually played well shockingly)

Hello Aussie - see you've "raised your head" several times again on the thread after saying you wouldn't be posting on it - anything to do with our bad result yesterday?.........<laugh>

The reason I haven't raised my head as you put it is I rarely post in the evening and certainly not the early hours on here. I won't say I have a family life outside normal working hours that usually prevents me, as you might read between the lines again and take it that I'm inferring that you haven't - one has to be so careful when one is stealthing..........<laugh>

On the Jordan Mutch front, no big deal that he had a poor game like the rest of his team mates, his talent is clear to those who watch him regularly. If Bony proves to be worth his £12M price tag, then great for you. Despite yesterday's dire overall team performance which would have dragged the best of players down, at just £1M (pocket money in Prem terms) I still think he's class and will develop to become a real asset. If Bony justifies his £12M price tag by wading in with the goals, then that's great business for you too.

Like I said, this is not a thread about Cardiff despite your reservations, and even yesterday's results alone show how vulnerable teams can be with a few poor results back to back. As well as us, West Brom now look to be struggling despite being top half three weeks ago, whereas the team that beat them Norwich have climbed above them out of the bottom 3 over the same period.

A lot to play for, and opinions as to the final trap door losers will change with results week on week.

    Bloody hell you're so long-winded. <laugh>

Saw you post on the Cardiff board after the game yesterday but it's understandable you were keeping your head down over here :)

Serious footballing question and not a wum. Setting aside 'price tags' do you still say you'd prefer Mutch in your team to Bony? Beause that's what you said some weeks ago. I'm genuinely interested. <ok>

At the moment yes - and that's a genuine answer. The problem is we don't have the quality players to bring the best out of Jordan. Like most good players, he needs to be surrounded by like minded team mates, and I'm afraid some of ours are not up to standard.

On the basis that we need someone to put the ball in the back of the net, a preference for Bony should seem obvious for us.

The fact of the matter is that, as many of you have alluded on here this season up to now, he needs the service. You apparently don't think he's getting it from your side - I can catagorically tell you that he certainly wouldn't in ours. We have no width nor pace to provide it.

We are playing some desperate stuff at the moment, and Bony in there would make little difference unless Malky changes his mantra.

That's a canny answer. Well done. Considering your original comment was made in the context of saying Bony was a useless lump you've managed to turn it around nicely so that he just wouldnt fit your team. <applause>

Putting words in other people's mouths and interpreting them the way you want in an attempt to ridicule is becoming depressingly common from you.

You can't accept a decent answer to your question without spoiling for a "forum fight". I have no intention of feeding your attempts to derail this thread from decent discussion as to the subject matter like you've done many times before on the Cardiff forum.

If I can see it, others should be able to as well. Hopefully it will now stop and we can discuss the jostle between the bottom half of the table clubs as to the likely end of season outcome with those that wish to.

If you don't want to, then fair enough - you've already said very early in the thread that you weren't interested and was not going to comment any more. Why are you here now pulling up irrelevant stuff? Something to do with our result yesterday?

Why so confrontational? The topic of Mutch v Bony is relevant to "where you are" surely because he's not doing the business for you.

I'm not "spoiling" for anything Sparkley. I have a good memory and remember clearly that there was a discussion on your board about Bony on the lead up to the derby game. Swamp, you and others labelled Bony as next to useless with Swamp hoping he would start against you. You chipped in that you'd have Mutch in your side ahead of Bony despite Swans fans pointing out that Bony was still settling in and would come good. He's gone on to do very well for us in the League and in our European games whereas Mutch's original promise has fizzled out.

Your comment wasn't made in the context of Bony "not fitting in" with Cardiff at all and you know it so stop wriggling. It's disingenuous, if entertaining.

No "forum fight" is being sought, but when you make comments that are ill-advised they do come back to bite you when some of us have good recall.

Anyway, on a lighter note your relegation rivals Fulham are ahead at half time v Villa. Happy days :)

No wriggling Aussie, just responding to you obvious attempts to provoke on a thread on which other fellow jacks have made reasonable comments discussing the issue rather than sidetrack it to old stuff with no relevance. <ok>

When Bony scores all these Premier goals that his previous career indicates he will, I will be the first across to congratualte you on £12M well spent. Until then, I will be happy to watch our 21 year old (maybe 22 now?) Mutch blossom into a top player over the years.

On the Fulham subject, I did say of the bottom half dozen, they always had the players to do the job and the new management should make a big difference. I did NOT think the same applied to Palace who haven't got the players but have got Pulis - a huge improvement over Holloway in their current predicament. <ok>
