I've seen all sorts of rubbish since my first game in 1972 and traipsed around some of the worst grounds in English football watching some of the worst dross served up in a black and amber shirt but somehow this is the worst I've ever felt about City. Nicky Barmby is the dream manager for City and if this turns out the way it is looking it will be one of the most shameful episodes in the club's history - along with the evils visited on the club by the likes of Fish and Lloyd.

We are all speculating on the new manager, the Allams motives etc etc. What about Nick?

He has been a good servant to this club over the years and is as I have sung many times 'one of our own'. He also stated he never wanted to go to another club and it was all about Hull City. His attitude was reflective of how any of us would feel about the club we love.

How must this guy be feeling now? I would be devastated if this club dissmissed me in this manner and certainly wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Hope Nick knows he will always be welcome back at the KC whenever those clueless idiots depart!

No matter what happens now, the Allams will never be forgiven for treating him like this.

One Nicky Barmby, there's only one Nicky Barmby!!!!
News is he is joining Leicester in a coaching role <doh>

What I hope for Nick is that he takes some time to digest what's happened and to decide what he wants to do next.
If that is some sort of coaching/management job in football, and he's serious about it , he needs to buckle down and get his coaching badges, and then see what opportunities open up for him.
If he wants to walk away from Football, then he's presumably wealthy enough to have any number of options open to him.

I really wish him well, whatever he decides, and I'm sure that goes for all the posters on here.

Nick Barmby will be Hull City's assistant manager for next season. This is what I hope and may be the only way to keep the players happy as well as the fans.

He does not need the money and for now he can do nothing until the LMA have sorted it out for him.

He wont work for the Allams again and I for one hope that the Allams depart and depart very soon.

Assem Allam said that they saved the club as a gift for the people of the City of Hull. So how about leaving now whilst there is still a club thats worth something.?

As a few have said, If ever there was a time for the Hull City Tiger Nation to be in control Now is that time.

Stay strong Nick. The fans are with you. Hope you come back with Adam and a new ownership sooner rather than later.

OK, so the Allams say fair enough we'll go. Just walk away without asking for anthing back. Do you really think the club is self sufficient now? How long will it last without their ongoing funding? Would the Banks back it without their guarantee? Would they bollocks!

And before you say we'd get new owners - who? There wasn't a queue round the block last time. And Adam Pearson doesn't use his own money (here or Derby)so he's probably running out of rich gullible friends!
