Just wish those pesky reform chaps will stop needlessly putting their leaflets through my door.
I take it you’re saying that you’ve already decided to vote for them, so you don’t want them to waste any more time and resources trying to convince you ?

Blimey. Even 24 hours is a long time in politics.

What is the point of a vetting process if its finding can just be ignored, countermanded, and that action be supposedly hidden from the highest authority; the man who wanted the subject of that process appointed in the first place.
Not credible, unless we really were born yesterday.

If the PM knew about the vetting failure he lied to Parliament.
If the PM did not know then what is the point of him being in office at all.

Another big nail in the coffin of public confidence in politics in the UK.
And another big win for the snake oil salesman who says "Vote for me, if only because I've never been part of all the lies and sleaze before". Despite most of his senior colleagues being opportunist turncoats who spent years right at the heart of several failed Conservative Governments.

Why even bother to vote.
All you'll get is another bunch of self-serving nest-featherers who will fail to deliver anything that they promise.
Long live the Revolution :bandit:

A longer nose than Cyrano de Bergerac.
This shouldn’t be allowed to become about Sir Keir Starmer. He must be permitted to carry on, regardless of his complete cretinous incompetence, otherwise we might end up with someone more to the right. And my God, that would be so dreadfully awful for the country.

Do I detect a hint of irony?

Sadly what we will get is a months-long selection process for a new PM, during which the UK will drift rudderless towards more bad economic times.
We had that a few years ago.
Months of drift - then Liz Truss <doh>
That was even too much for Her Maj, who decided to kick the bucket after their first meeting.

We should have a snap General Election of course, but that will not happen.

Never mind if he's an MP or not right now. Give it to Andy Burnham.
We've had unelected Lords as Prime Ministers in the past. So why not an elected Mayor?

Can you not at least come one step to the right and advocate for Jeremy Corbyn instead ?

No smoking gun atm to prove he's lying, but the issue is competence. He was so up Trump's ar5e that he was determined to get Mandy the gig because he was Trump's choice, and it's obvious why. It's not hindsight to say that Milord Mandy was a terrible choice, plenty of people said so at the time. He is clearly there for the taking, but will anyone challenge him? He doesn't seem about to jump, he'll have to be pushed. The buck stops with him, not a civil servant.

It’s incredible isn’t it, that a cretin such as this, should become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

He's hoping to talk his way out of it on Monday, but he won't be able to talk his way out of the May election results. I think he'd have made a good foreign secretary, but he's like the manager who gets promoted beyond his ability. As one Tory MP said about Rishi Sunak "He's not very good at politics"
