Love Jerusalem and hate the monarchy but Jerusalem is far too Christian for it to be adopted in this day and age. Just won't happen.

I'm a 29 year old atheist and also a republican.

I absolutely love it and have wanted it as national anthem for a long time. So hopefully more are on the same wavelength as me.

I love Jerusalem and wouldn't object to it becoming the national anthem. Would be perfectly happy to keep the existing one too though.
For me, constitutional monarchy is the perfect way to select a head of state. The head of state is purely symbolic/ceremonial and selection of them is pre-ordained meaning that there can be no divisive political campaigning for the role. They are also trained from an early age to fulfil the role.

Jerusalem is England's anthem, really.
"And did those feet, in ancient times, walk upon England's mountain green". Guaranteed to annoy the Scots, Welsh and Irish if it was used for the UK. Personally I'd go for "I vow to thee, my country" to replace GSTQ as national anthem. Though it'll just be changed to God save the King.

it depends who she passes to...if it was jack colback he would then pass sideways or backwards, on the other hand pritchard would most likely move the ball forward.

think we need more detail here.

Maybe it's time for England to choose and English anthem just for them and do away with God Save the Queen

We do mate. At the Commonwealth Games when England win gold medals they play Jerusalem at the medal ceremony. I'd do the same for England football and Rugby matches, personally, and only use GSTQ for events that involve GB, like the Olympics. One anthem for the UK and each of the countries having their own when they compete on their own.

Who decides if this happens or not? When Charlie gets the crown can he just change it? How does it work?

I would like to see the national anthem replaced with Jerusalem.
After all it is about a nation and not an individual like the present anthem. Any thoughts?.
I would like to see the monarchy end. It’s the right time to change things up.

That sounds far to sensible to gain any traction.
