That's what I mean - he quit after the incident because he felt people had taken sides. It was a good week after we had argued. The reason it came up was because certain binners brought it up repeatedly and that was when Munky started getting seriously wound up and eventually quit when moderators asked him to stop. Munky and I had long stopped actually arguing, because, as I explained, he was ignoring me. If it had all been left alone, Munky would still be posting and still ignoring me, but certain people couldn't let it lie.

Welly is entirely wrong, as I have just explained. He claimed that I haven't acknowledged my part in Munky leaving, which I have and that it wasn't binner posters' fault at all, which actually it partially was.

The "..." signalled that the ban request was a joke (half).

JWM, your selective memory is misbehaving again, all those different fall-outs wete brought up time and again by Guru, refusing to let things die down, he just kept stirring and stirring until it had his desired effect of causing Norwich posters to fall out with each other!

I hope you dont believe that. I rarely post these days - and I can assure it's nothing to do with any of the Ipswich boys - in recent times this place is worse than ****ing Albert square for drama.

Found the bannings a bit embarrassing really. And that it would be a lifetime is even more laughable. You can ham it up all you want but there wasn't anything ban worthy there and I think the majority probably realise it, regardless of whether they'll say so.

As others have said, original post was well over the top, but then had I been dealt such an apparently swift slap down (on a perfectly relevant thread) perhaps it would've been me having a grumble.

Dave was far from the only one who commented which made Munky feel victimised and there would have been no need for Dave or anyone else to get involved had the binners not brought it up again. In fact, Dave was one of the first (which I remember you were very quick to jump on) and wasn't involved in the later comments when Munky left. It was collectively made worse by a number of factors of which Dave's comments were merely one part. Ultimately though, the buck stops with me because it was our argument that was responsible and for that I have apologised.



This thread has merely assured me that there a number of binners intent on propagating unrest and pressurising Dave into withdrawing as a mod. It would be a shame, because while no-one's perfect I don't like seeing a few loud individuals drowning out the good work Dave has done. Obviously one or two Norwich fans have an axe to grind as well and hopefully Dave can learn from this, but I don't see why anyone would go on such a vendetta.


For what it's worth, I would say that if Guru could show a little contrition, I wouldn't mind the ban being lifted.

To be fair to JWM and Welly, they were only responding and initially defending themselves against comments made by Cromer in relation to Beefy's return.

The OP was a bit of an over-reaction, there were a few comments made to those ends, a couple in favour of Dave's moderating and then Cromer brings up Beef's return and blames all the posters that have left on the binners. That had nothing to do with the OP as there were no mention of Ipswich posters being the reason behind the OP's original rant, the only person who was mentioned was Dave.

In some cases, JWM and Welly's posts are wind ups and sometimes they make valid points, in this instance though they didn't make the first move.
