People saying McGeady doesn't work hard enough to play on the wing. I'd try him behind the striker then. I like Williams but McGeady is our player so should play if fit and on form. Back 5 I think has got to a point where it picks itself as do the two in front. When it's fully fit

    ----------------------Ruiter
    Matthews-Kone-Wilson-Oviedo
    ------------Cattermole-Ndong
    Mcmanaman--McGeady--Watmore
    ---------------------Grabban

Think the left will suit Watmore as is far easier cutting inside onto his stronger foot and he's got the space inside to use. He grafts and could form a good partnership down the left with an overlapping Oviedo

In my mind wingers swap wings constantly anyway. A one sided wide attacker is useless in this day in age imo. Impossible to show on a formation but I'd have Macca and Watmore swapping throughout games, means opponents have to set up Zonal and that's by far and way the weakest aspect of the modern game imo.

When we've got a front three of McGeady, McManaman and McWatmore with a forward ahead of them I don't think we'll be struggling for goals.

The key here is in the thread title, I can hardly remember a time when we had a fully fit squad, or even a settled team for anything more than a couple of games, this is key to the rest of our season imo.

Not happening imo, injuries are part and parcel of the game, it will happen as sure as it will rain again. What needed was a squad larger than our PL one, though Short opted for a smaller squad.

Absolutely this, but once again we are hit by more than our share, some clubs who seem to field the same team game after game, we never get a run like that, or so it seems.

Watmore does have his limitation but I believe they are more than made up for by his tremendous work rate , he would be in my team

I think you are being generous when you say a SMALLER squad

The hope is that when he's back in the team he's the same player he was and hasn't lost pace or energy. I think Grayson said he'd seen him play recently and was impressed but I'm never sure with bad knee injuries.

He's looked his usual self in the last 2 u23 games apparently, best player on the pitch in both.

Maja is the one that I would like to see back. I know that we only saw him a few times, but he looked like just what we need up front atm. a goal scorer.

He's a not a natural finisher you know fella, we don't have one at the club. Maja's plus points are first touch and power, he'll be very handy to help hold the ball up but we've got that in James Vaughn but nobody is getting close to him.
