Jesus - this thread still on the go - it's like that old black and white programme I watched as a kid "25 years ago today"! They redid it (I think) and called it "50 years ago today". If anybody can remember, what was the name of those football cards we used to collect as kids. I have vivid memories of opening pack upon pack (not saying how I got the money) looking for the ONE card to complete the set of all 22 Div 1 teams players - IAN PORTERFIELD - that card was rarer than rocki' horse s***e!!
I used to collect all the things from garages too, the coins and 3d pictures etc. Pretty sure I still have the album full of the animals 3d pictures in the loft, from the Shell garage on the Broadway.
MR Yes, it had the gowey in, bloody awful but you could blow bubbles so big when they borst you spent a week picking the stuff out of what little hair was left after old man Gulliver had hacked you into a short back n sides. yes the coins, 1970 England World Cup side, ESSO had them, used to hang around the garage and ask anybody who filled up if we could have the ones they got We really should ask Syd to start a sticky thread entitled "Old Farts Memories"
No idea what Rep power is and can't be bothered to find out sorry. Tablets kicking in with the whisky and got a Robert Ludlum to finish in bed. Problem is I have the chair with its leg rest in the perfect position and don't want to move. And! Did the guy who invented the TV remote get the Nobel Prize? He certainly deserved it.
