Can Toral play in a relatively deep role (ie as one of two CMs in the formation used against Bolton)? If not, he'd presumably be better suited to a 4-2-3-1 as the central player of the 3.

Yeah I didn't have Toral because I know nothing about him. I went for Meyler and Irvine in the 3-4-3 because both are physical and you need that in a 4 man midfield.

Yeah, exactly. The fact we've only got 4CBs doesn't make 3-4-3 a likely long-term option.
