As long as pass holders get a 10% off the new shirt or something, I'm sure it'll keep everyone happy.
My pass was £250, but take the figure quoted earlier in this thread fo say £350, that is £15.21 per game, absolute bargain. An adult pays £26 per game, however if he goes to them all but gets one free it is still, £572 per game which works out at £24.89 per game. So whats in it for season ticket holders? Roughly around about a tenner a game..... Idiots the lot of you who think season ticket holders get a rough deal. Whether they get a rough deal on the playing side of things i will let you have your own opinions. Well done the Allams UTT!
Was going to post something similar to you City 1904. Get approx 9 free games as a season ticket holder by my reckoning.
I agree completely, im quite happy with the deal i get with my season ticket (£15 a game is not bad at all) If it fills seats then im happy
I got to just over half the home games and a few away games last season, in my first for about 10 years without a pass and it cost me more than my East Stand pass has done this year so its far cheaper. It would be nice if there were a couple of small benefits but I'm not that bothered tbh.
Why would it cost the Allams anything to give free tickets for what would have been empty seats ? Surely it fills the ground and even makes money, because i would have thought that even if you get in for free, your going to buy a cup of tea at least. The club are actually very clever offering freebies.Like when they offer kids for free matches. Dad takes the bairn to his first game because it's not going to cost him any more than if he goes alone. Kid gets a buzz off it,and nags his dad to go again. Kerch.....ing. It's just business like any other, but far more enjoyable !
£195 for 16-22s in the East Stand, I'm pretty chuffed with that Season ticket holders would still save money if they did this 3/4 times, so it doesn't bother me at all. Seems the right time to do something like this as well; low gates in early season games must concern the club. Well done the Allams (even if the balloons, flags and other atmosphere encouraging tactics are pretty dire)
Trouble with free tickets is not everyone who get them are city fans take the blackpool game got talking to a dad with his two kids walking to the kc.The kids had been given 3 free tickets and could only go with an adult the dad was a liverpool fan and even had the shirt on while the kids had city shirts on and all he did was moan how much he didnt want to be there even though it cost him **** all.
If you want to watch most the home games in a season a season ticket is by far the cheapest way to do it. These offers even if run a few times a season don't change that. I don't believe anyone ever said there would be no offers for individual match tickets when I bought my season ticket either.
All very true, and people turning up in such shirts should be refused entry however, part of the reason he'll have felt uncomfortable is that his kids are seeing him for the exact same weak, shallow, clueless tosspot that the rest of the football world does.
I can't make all the home games in a season due to working away a lot, so I don't buy a season ticket. I'd rather buy a ticket for the games I can get to even though some seasons it ends up costing me more, just so the seat is avaliable to others when I aren't there. If i have a season ticket it effectively is one less voice in the crowd and one more empty seat. Only one season in recent years did I buy a season ticket; our 2nd year in the prem as i found it difficult to get to many home games due to Liverpool / Man U / Chelsea supporters buying tickets and claiming to be 'fans'. Until we went down that is and they all fecked off again.
Good idea. 2 for 1. Many will take up that offer for sure. Pass hoolders already get a good deal just by being a pass holder. But i would also accept a Free Programme and Pint @ the Pompey game.
Bang on the nose City1904! About time these people who post knee jerk reactions considered what they actually get. I bet they were the kids at school that were first in the dinner queue for seconds, despite the fact they were on free meals! Perhaps the Allams should give them a free pie!
