Sounds like you're making some expensive mistakes mate. <laugh>
The beef was.. £35 the brisket was. For the driest smokiest overcooked ****e ever..

For Christmas however I now have a set of remote thermometers. Which work on Bluetooth so I can stick it in the meat and monitor the internal temp of the meat.. thusly not allowing me to dry it out..

Not posted owt for a while... Done a couple of nice joints of beef recently, but made my first from scratch Chicken Tikka the other night - one thing or another got in the way of me making the sauce, so swerved making sauce and just had the chicken in wraps with a garlic and coriander yoghurt. Was one of the tastiest things I've ever cooked. That meat in a good sauce would be unreal, so it's happening next week.

Mrs was 3 parts pissed and doing my head in, and it was too spicy for her, which was pleasing. Passive retribution.

Anyhow, kebabs and wraps.

You're a top cook, fair play.

Just cobbled together steak frites and diane sauce.

No pics because I'm away at work, so none of this is done conventional.

Long story, but the ring takes about half an hour to heat up sufficiently to properly sear a steak.

So, it was a rare rump steak, McCains salt and pepper shake in the bag fries, and Tesco finest diane sauce out of a pot.

Not proud of it, but tasted good!
