Got leek and potato soup with some sourdough bread to dunk.
I used to sell gallons of that when I had my catering company, it was my best seller along with carrot and cardomen and roasted burernut squash & ginger. Mine was hot due to the amount of freshly roasted black peeper.
 
No, I had a Cornish pasty that contained steak.

The origins off a pasty is sweet and savoury.

One end was savoury, the other sweet.

It was made with the ridge of pastry, so workers could hold it. They would eat the savoury end, then the sweet end, so getting a whole meal, and discard the ridge bit.
