the only reality check was going into a league you have no chance in winning it I find that dead boring tbh>>>>>ive never known that in my time with Cardiff city if im truthful.


anyway hows about you phil any chance of winning this league bro or u just making up numbers like over half this division..............
I also think not being relegated within the last two fixtures shows it doesn't take much more than some luck 2 get the few extra points needed>>>something we didn't have going for us this year, however bad we have been on the pitch and in the board room we havnt been far behind all season <ok>

Sunderland's midweek game in hand is Brom at the SOL up next, and fair play, we should expect them to win that.

That would leave the final games for each club to go with the points standing looking like: -

Sunderland....35
City..............33
Norwich........32
Fulham.........31

Now if the Jacks did the decent thing and did a job at Sunderland on the last day for us, we'd only have to beat Chelsea to stay up.............<laugh>

Can see you winning at Newcastle - they are pants right about now and their best player, Ben Arfa has fallen out with Pardew and didn't even travel withthe team to Arsenal last night ... if it then came down to a 'cup final' at your place against Chelsea then why not? - they have been pretty average against teams near the bottom of the league this season tbf ... good luck.

it would be a miracle if we stayed up now (i.e. less than 1%), i just hope we've been prudent in putting big wage reduction clauses, and we can get good money for people like medel whom we paid over the odds for.

ironically if we're in the championship next year i'd much rather malky than OGS, we've got to win both and he still doesn't know his best 11. newcastle are in free fall and we have a chance, though that means nothing when we were poor against what was previously the worst team in the league.

... not 'currently' - their results against Man City and Chelsea would perhaps make Sunderland the 'best' in the league currently? ... Newcastle by contrast have lost their last six ... and they were seriously outplayed by the Swans at their place ... I think you can definitely win there ...
 
disagree, the way we've played in the past 2 games, we just never look like scoring, i highly doubt we will beat newcastle.

the league table never lies, but i take your point that sunderland were in a purple patch, i was one of the few on here that foresaw sunderland taking us to the sword.

On current form we are not capable of beating Newcastle under 11s.

We have a totally gutless, shambolic 'team' who are in for two more beatings before spending their thousands of pounds on their holidays.

I think that even as poor as what newcastle are they will still be too strong for cardiff at their place,

Probably right. Mind you it would be just like City to win up there, and scramble a draw v Chelsea and miss out by a few points.

My thoughts are now though on the motorway map of likely venues for the City next season. Haven't been to Brentford since 1982.
 
A nightmare scenario comes to mind.

We lose to Newcastle - they will hammer us.

Relegated when Sunderland win their game in hand.

We then put in a performance against Chelsea and take points giving the Scousers the title.!!!!!!!!

Anyone but them. Plastics will be out everywhere saying WEVE won the title even though virtually all have never been anywher near Anfield.
