I'd keep Bendtner, 100%, if it's £4-5million. Hoillet would be superb, but seems unlikely. I would absolutely endorse a move for Fletcher, as well as, rather than instead of, Bendtner. Whickham out on loan till Jan for me, and I'd still like a ball playing CB, and keep Bridge, he's doing canny. All realistic, but Hoillet will have many suitors.
wouldn't touch doyle with a barge pole. Flectcher would be decent. I like bendtner, but of course he needs a 20+ a season partner. Anything under 4mil would be good. I think he needs a club that rely on him. He was frustrated at arsenal for his bit part, and that he was dropped for big games that he would get them too i.e the league cup last year!
has this 4m ever been mentioned or are we just making numbers up? for 4 i'd take him but i don't think we'd get him for that. Took the missus to the match yesterday (she goes about once a year and doesn't really have much interest) after ten minutes she said 'whos that in the pink boots? why isn't he trying? is he injured cos he doesn't seem to run'.
We are using bendtner as a target man, and he does that job very well, if he can get 12 goals a season then that is a good return imo. I dont know where i stand on Gyan coming back, but I have to admit Gyan and Bendtner (in his current form) could be a bloody good combination - especially with Sess and Mclean is the same team
Gyan isnt coming back and nor do I want the ****er back either. He had an opportunity to be part of this MoN revival in January but refused it. Let him chase some Arabs money all around the desert, along with the 100 or 200 supporters that watch him. We have far better and bigger options to consider and he doesnt fit the bill of any of it. IMO of course.
based on current form i would deffo sign him even for 8m, his attitude seems to have changed as well, probably down to o'neill's man management skills
agreed with this, if we can get the lad for 4-6m and he is prepared to lower his wage demands to fit into the wage cap the club has in place then I would sign him along with another striker and send Wickham and Ji out onloan
For me it is simple if Bendtner scores lots of goals I want him if does not score, he can go away. I know it is sacrilege, but the skunks have two strikers that I would like to have. Those are the type/standard of strikers we need, not sure we have anyone up to that standard ATM
100% sums it up. We have had strikers of the calibre of those two in Welbeck, Bent, Gyan and Jones and Cisse before but at the minute we seem to be well below par on the striking front. Campbell for me should be a back up striker and mainly a squad player who can make an impact off the bench and when injuries occur can fill in upfront or outwide if needed. Bendtner I would like him to stay if we could get him for the right price, maybe not a player who you would say will play in everygame that they are available because I dont think he is that good but a good player who we could have in our squad for next season. If we added 2 good strikers and 1 of them has to be Olivier Giroud, we need to make that lad our number 1 priority in the summer, if we could get him he would get goals certainly and would be a statement of intent, we would have to break our transfer record but for a player like this lad it would be well worth it As for Gyan who knows I would love to see him back as I think MoN is the sort of manager who could get the best out of the lad but I cannot see it, why would he come back to us on the wages he was getting before we went to Al Ain and tripled his sallary, no1 in there right mind would, as for Ji and Wickham they need to go out onloan
I have to agree with some people here and think he may only be putting himself in the shop window. The lad clearly has talent (when he wants to show it) hence his international record and the fact he has scored hatricks in the CL but its when he can be arsed is the problem. He has reitterated his stance of wanting to play CL football and was also talking about some russian side looking for him, add this to his current form and i think he is just putting himself in the shop window.
