Oh yes..... Laurel and Hardy! What a transatlantic treat of terrific talent that was! And the original Twilight Zone. The Eye of the Beholder is my favourite, or that one where the feller finds a tiny civillisation and becomes their sort of god (forgotten the name, but Lisa Simpson did the sameish thing). And the original film of The Fly, with Vincent Price. And the electro-theremin they used on these creepy sci-fi/horror movies.
Tom & Jerry - I heard that the original shows were banned on Terrestrial TV for being to violent which sounds about right for this day and age. There's a channel on Sky that does re-runs non stop in the mornings. One of the very few reasons why I would get Sky in.
Of course there is. Fatty tough beef. Undercooked vegetables and partially roast spuds. NO English mustard provided.
That's a grumble. Plus Dan Aykroyd is another Canadian, like John Candy and, if no one has mentioned him, Mike Myers. There's a lot of Canadians in American Comedy.
