What am I doing?

Currently I'm a mixture of ****ing furious and upset.

We were ****ing disgraceful tonight. Played like a team who knew a 0-0 would send us through. And then got the sucker punch that was both inevitable (sp?) and fully deserved.

****ing useless ****s.

Now off to town to drown myself in sailor jerrys and try and **** anything that moves.

Tonight Matthew, and for tonight only, all standards are out the window <ok>

My father in law was at the game (as always) and is currently working his way back to Chez Stan where he's staying tonight en route to a Christmas do he has tomorrow. Think I'll leave a key outside instead of waiting up and listening to a 12.30am diatribe about the game!

I don't blame ya mate, we were ****ing awful... I feel sorry to anyone who has to listen to me... I've posted a couple of times on our board but I'm purposely not reading anything as if anyone is defending it I will end up getting a ban <laugh>

I could have accepted us going out if we went for it and it was 2/3 all.

But we were so ****ing gutless and lacked urgency... like I said we played like a team who knew a clean sheet would see us qualify... and it backfired.

Just said something to my pal which you'll be able to relate to - tonight reminded of that game under LVG where you got loads of stick for record amount of crosses etc.

That's what we were like tonight... pass, pass, pass, **** cross and so on. I'd love to see how many crosses we attempted tonight... and the first decent one was in stoppage time...

I think you may be referring to a Moyes game against Fulham.

Same ****, different manager.

Father in law did a three hour trip to get to us, another 90 minutes to get to St Mary's, 90 minutes more to get back to us and he's got a 4 hour drive tomorrow.

He's not even from Southampton!

Got a busy weekend at a Christmas food event at swanky country house and gardens. Lots of Rupert and Harriet types with cash to burn, so hopefully a profitable weekend.

With you 100% buddy ... nothing more frustrating than watching your team float passively to the inevitable and then being left with the thought of 'if only' .... better to go out swinging ...

I would really love us to get Real Madrid or Bayern in the last 16 of the UCL and give it a right good go ... just like we did last season against the 'Big Teams' (and Spurs) in the Prem ... either go down with all guns blazing or, as we showed last season, achieve the seemingly unachievable ... <grr>
