They did at the 2012 Olympics.
What about Vegas? I hear it's cracking in August.
Ha....just squeezed the last message in before the Hiag v Piskie thread got closed.
A profound last message, very fitting.
Minxy buckled. Currently sat watching my back garden turn into a pond.
Great fun.
Went to the Emirates to watch the old boys beat Milan old boys. Kanu hat trick![]()

It was more entertaining than I expected. Stan Jr just wants to watch football all the time at the minute.Looked like a cracking afternoon. Lots of old legends on display and plenty of goals to enjoy too![]()
Going for a swim later ?
More akin to bog snorkeling at the minute.
Think I'll give it a swerve.
Noticed you're into surf, spent a couple of weeks in Biarritz last month. Very good surf.
As was Cantabria. Noja and Santander.
Some of my friends head down to Biarritz in the winter for those heavy beach breaks. I planning a trip to Portugal in Jan/Feb. My little one starts School the year after next, so we'll probably do a big trip before we're limited to school holidays. Thinking about Sri Lanka, ever surfed there ?I'm past all that now, it was more my boys getting into it.
Although if they do properly then I might have to have another go!
I got on a body board most days in Bidart though. We're going back next year so by then i could well have sorted my own board that's big enough for me.
Best surf we saw was a beach in Santander, we were only there that one day though.
The one in Noja had consistent 4-5 foot clean every day. Hardly anyone on it either.
He tries to chat up my missus every time we see him. Top bloke and still as stoked as he was 60 years ago !Kitchen Pete wouldn't believe any of Pete The Yank's stories. He'd insist on photos of PTY with Telly and Steph.I don't know that South of France/Northern Spain area that well, but I do know that you're never too old to surf !
My friend Pete 'the Yank' is 85 this year. He still surfs, although he limits himself to summer in the UK and spends the Spring/Winter in Fuerteventura. Proper character with a life straight out of film. He grew up in Florida, then moved to Texas and worked on a ranch honing his horse skills and competing in Western comps. Then spent many years teaching Hollywood stars how to ride. He has so many stories to tell - dinner with Telly Savalas, getting drunk with Stephanie Beacham... he was (and still is) such a ladies man. Top bloke and still as stoked as he was 60 years ago !
