For me Richard Chaplow MOM without a doubt. Ran his socks off all night. Yours?

    Chaplow motm for me.
Off to take my family on our holidays today and that will get me a few more away game passes, I had everyone begging for my season ticket to use while I am gone, which is strange as a couple of years ago I couldn't give it away!

Yep, Chaplow for me to - worked his socks off for all the time he was on the pitch.

Connolly worked hard to and Schneiderlin was a cool, composed figure in the middle throughout aswell.

We have such good players now, no doubt about it!

  5. Greg, you summed up the ethos and mind-set of most of the Saints players. They are cool and composed with, play with incredible confidence and faith in each other.

The seat next to me was empty so there's room for at least one more.

Oooo, bohemian eh, get you !! He's certainly a bit of a character, they say all keepers are really....

Remember Davis could have signed for the hammers, a premiership team when we got relegated to League 1 with the 10-point deduction; they were in for him but he decided to stay with us. He must have felt justified and euphoric when the final whistle went and he knew he'd kept a clean sheet - let's hope for the same in the return <ok>

You mean back in the days when they used to practice each person taking a breath in turn.... I too have been in the Dell when you used to have to take it in turns to breath!!! You never dare drop anything because if you managed to get down to pick it up sure as hell you wouldn't get back up again....<laugh>

Yesterday was my first game of the season. Absolutely loved it. The team worked so hard, and it was a very satisfying win. I thought West Ham would have been better than they were, but alas, we played the type of football that West Ham fans want their team to play. I do wonder (if they do not continue to be there or there abouts) whether their fans will keep the faith? Anyway, enough of West Ham.

I feel responsible for the record attendance. I took my dad under duress. Cheers.

So true. One of my abiding memories of that evening was that whenever there was some excitement, and there was plenty, the crowd would breath in and surge forward and back. Me, and another nipper got really squeezed, at times. I remember one adult offering to pick us up, so that we could sit on the low wall if it got too much for us. All good fun. I won't mention the result, but Saints gave as good as they got, but couldn't score.

This would have been the Archers End, about 15-20 ft to the right of the goal.

Throughly enjoyed the game!! I thought the only danger of Saints losing that game was coming from themselves with the odd careless pass. Thankfully Baldock forget to put his contact lenses in!!
